That silly. There is no reason to dismiss the idea of having two pieces of gear with different looks sharing the same stats.
Honestly it is kind of ridiculous that every job doesn't have their own set of raid gear.
Even when they do (see af) the stats are random. They don't add stats to gear to make it the best per job. It's always been that way.
Hell, ninja and drg have their own gear, in your example, and they still have to mix and match raid and tome and crafted gear and the like to get the best Stat combinations.
The point is to have a set of raid glamour for every job. Most people use random glamours, but I'd expect there to be a set available for every job so you can look like your job.Even when they do (see af) the stats are random. Sure not every aiming set is going to fit Dancer well.
But neither is every scouting set, I really don't see why people think scouting sets fit dancer better than aiming sets in general.
Also dnc has the lowest personal dps because its dancers buff the dps of others. Maybe dnc needs some buffs, maybe not, but the reason it's as low as it is, is because it has utility to buff party/raid damage. The more utility you bring, especially with buffing party damage, the lower personal dps you do to balance. If you want high personal dps you're int he wrong job.
It's called a glamour prism. Use it.
It's not feasible to do this all the time. There's a reason they only do job specific af sets once an expansion.
On one hand DNC fits the Scouting aesthetic more.
On the other hand all Ranged Physical DPS (which BRD MCH DNC are) share the "Aiming" set. Though, to be fair, both the Scouting and Aiming set share similar stats, albeit the NIN set boasts higher VIT and Defense due to NIN being in melee range.
Because ff14 is trying to not to copy wow and possibly other mmos. The only job reated gear we get is the gear you get at max lvl. Just take it or leave it
It seems easily feasible to me. They are already halfway there, but if that is the general consensus then so be it. However, I must ask what is this reason they can only manage this once every few years?
1. Small indie developer
2. Nobody wants to deal with the hassle of having to collect 17 different sets of gear every tome/raid/craft tier when they can glam.
