Do all the new Vieras and Hrothgar just don't care?

I remember when I used to believe this about new egis (glamour).


No really though, I hope they add new hair/face stuff in a timely manner.

I don't think a small customization option of a single job can compare to the issue of lacking customization options for the two new races, honestly. I have faith they'll work on it.

Also SMN has more important problems right now than the lack of egi glamour anyway.

see...this is what I'm talking about....people stopped bringing it up and eventually the subject gets pushed aside..........can we start a petition or something before its too late? I mean...wtf.....more people care about male Vieras when it isn't even real lol.....

The thing is though, there has always has been a constant interest in more egi glamours, but yeah, it's been largely contained and sparse. Fortunately, one interviewer asked about them (I don't remember if it was earlier this year or end of last year), letting the devs know that there's still an interest, but unfortunately it was given a non-answer along the lines of "I think it's time we show what we're doing next for SMN," left it at that, and haven't mentioned it since- so I'm assuming that was about 15 second Phoenix?


So when Yoshida said they'd be slowly working on more hairstyles and "face patterns," I can't help but roll my eyes and consider it PR lip service. But I suppose the squeaky wheels can get the oil if the devs actually find importance in it. I suppose the egi issue has been more of an occasional "creak" in the grand scheme of things...

I like to imagine alot of players are just happy with what they have. That and theirs honestly other more important things to worry about.

People already gave the devs a headache for even conceiving the Hrothgar

I'd imagine a lot of people knew exactly what they were signing up for when they became one of these races. Probably not a matter of not caring, they're just patiently waiting to see what happens.

We are waiting patiently ... and mostly distracted by all the things to DO in lieu of staring at our own heads.

Just wondering why i don't see more discussion or complaints about the no headgear situation for Viera and Hrothgar? Is it of no concern to those who have switched? I changed to Viera knowing i can't wear the old helmets....but even new AF 80 headgear does not work?....I don't see the excuse they gave about retro-fitting applying here and i don't see anyone complaining about it.....are we all just taking it up the bum on this one.....??

I've pretty much always hidden my helmet. Any of the ones that I like are already available to Viera so yeah, I don't really care lol.

ETA: Also I agree with someone else's response. I'd MUCH rather have more hair options (especially modern aesthetics that I already have) than hats I'd never use.

Yeah, they did say all headgear was unavailable, but then some of the devs secretly, in their own spare time, made circles/glasses/hairpins work for Viera, so they bought a fair amount of good will with that :P They obviously DO care about this issue if they'd work in their spare time for it, so I'll just wait it out and trust they are still working on it.

I'm just very happy that there's an actual beast race in game, and Ronso at that! Yeah the headgear situation sucks, but the majority of the stuff my characters wear is already usable and honestly them working on their spare time to fix some of the pieces did win a lot of good will. So even if it takes a while. I'm happy with my Hrothgar.

This is where I'm currently at. The dev team already made a bunch of stuff viable for Viera and Hrothgar, I won't be surprised if they do the same for a bunch more headgear by the time 5.1 rolls around.
