Its only an issue for a couple weeks every 2 years. Its not worth it financially to do so. You don't see governments making roads wider for rush hour do you? Happens twice a day yet commutes can be as long as 2 hours in some places, when it would only take 20 mins without traffic.

You picked a bad example, TBH. Street near my old house was having properties bought, and taken down because of traffic (for a road expansion).

As I have said though, this hasn't been just a couple weeks. This has been a couple months now.
I had fun telling people that no, they couldn't play with me because every world was congested.

SE isn't exactly small. If they are in fact getting more subs, FFXIV is becoming more popular, & having more people then ever flock to it - maybe they should actually do something about the servers with the growing population. I wouldn't accept a game with a 5 minute loading screen. I won't accept a game with a line that makes me wait my turn to get on the rollercoaster either.

They also were counteracting the massive "crystal sucks, bail" mess that people created for themselves. Who didn't think aether would get locked after that?

I mean, I don't think it was a small street... but then again, I'm not American.
I don't exactly know what they were counteracting, but I didn't think every world on aether would get locked.

Just going to point out that this thread was explicitly about the OP whining about server login queues. Which was why I was so specific in both of my previous posts in this thread - I was ONLY addressing that. You started out addressing only that, as well, specifically saying that a 2-minute login queue was "unacceptable", and after myself and a few others basically went "...seriously?", you've now moved the goalposts. Now it's also about other things that have been "going on for months", which obviously would EXCLUDE login queues since those have been going for less than one month now, and you're banging on about how you had fun telling friends they can't join the game and play with you cause of server congestion.

Interesting analogy, since waiting in line is a long-standing and perfectly reasonable part of trying to get on any popular ride at an amusement park.

Anyway, with this last bit you're back to directly addressing the login queue itself, which was the only thing I was addressing when I first replied to you. My stance hasn't changed. SE as a company, this game in general, and the game's servers in particular, ALL have problems worth discussing, worth complaining about. Of that there is no doubt.

But if you think that this problem in particular is one of them, that a ~5 minute login queue during the most most crowded, most "hype" time frame of a popular MMOs life is a glaring problem that MUST NEEDS be addressed because it's "unacceptable", then I really have to recommend you think about your priorities in life.
