So I got my dancer to 80 last night night and was doing the final boss. And I ended up getting into trouble with En Avant. First I accidentally dashed off the edge of the platform while moving to avoid an arm swipe. Then I got ressed and used it to get out of any aoe where I spawned but was too slow and died again. I really should have just ran normally, doesn't feel like En Avant is significantly faster and it's not like I have cast times that get interrupted as a dancer. Both of those situations I would have lived if I'd just walked.

Just had a real treat in Haukke Manor, of all places, LNC pulling all the mobs, dying, and generally being a right pain in the butt... the tank was obviously learning the ropes, and instead of offering advice, this stellar individual says "u suck tank", which is pretty rich since the LNC was face-tanking the floor several times and highly hypocritical of this flaming douche since it was his fault in the first place everyone was trying to keep up... my healing hotkey might have slipped oops my bad

Imagine thinking that you can beat Amaurot in 20 minutes with a PUG.

You can but it involves everyone actually hitting buttons.

Oooh, speaking of Haukke Manor, that reminds me of a weird experience I had over the weekend.

Queued for leveling roulette. Get a duty in-progress, 4 minutes in. I pop in and it's just me (NIN) and a WAR (maybe MRD?). I waltz over to where they're killing stuff by themselves. They make no effort to retain hate (no tank stance), so I'm ripping threat off them with everything I hit. I look to the side of my screen, and I see that it doesn't say "Looking for members..." so no one else will be queuing in. The tank occasionally pauses by me between pulls, but otherwise says nothing.

I left after two pulls. I have no idea what was going on there.

In general I think it's just not a good idea to assume you're getting a speed run in duty finder. Though I did luck out the other day, when I got the cape westwind trial just a couple minutes before reset and managed to clear it mere seconds before roulette reset. Anything else and it would have gone past reset time.

Someone posted some screenshots from a run they did earlier in a Facebook group of mine (with the names marked out) where the MCH was removing all cards the AST gave them because he wanted them to go to the DNC in the party. He even had a macro set to do it which baffles me because the % increase in damage would be better to have on the MCH then the DNC.

Was...was it this guy? Or is there more than one MCH out there doing this?

But yeah, dancers are a low personal dps high group dps job, they are not the ideal targets of cards. Unless the other dps is just bad.

It was that guy, I guess through is poor play he has achieved a small bit of fame.

Haven't seen that one in years, thought maybe it had been removed the from the game.

And very true about DF. Not for speed runs.
