Last shadowbringer hands you i395 as you level!! Why give that if i400 is needed for the end of stormblood? Makes people who boost don't need it, cause it's catch up gear for those who didn't get i400..

Done posting here for now on mobile and tired auto correct screwing my posts up. Feel free to reply I'll get back them in a soon as I am at comp
I did not respond to your anecdote because it's irrelevant, but if you insist... DRG also received buffs to their basic combo to account for the loss of the piercing debuff. Your dps comment does not compute, it's mathematically impossible for lower dps to clear but higher dps not to. Obviously you measured this outside, but it has zero relevance inside this specific duty because the DRG has to move into melee range. The biggest dps loss in this duty is moving to the next target, so what the DRG needs to do is: save their two Dive abilities and use them to jump to the next sword instead of wasting precious time walking.Apparently you did read the part where I said I am watching a 70 dragoon in i385 out dps my ast when it was i395. Yet the dragoon still can't down the fight. Class changes do have and effect and it varies from one class to a other. Whm were also one the least changed classes.
So I find myself repeating the same thing again: this duty was completed successfully and regularly with weaker abilities during Stormblood.
If you think the duty needs to be made easier, I have no problem with that. But do not say that job changes are the issue, because they are simply not.
I said it is not an unreasonable expectation when the job is played suboptimally, not that it's required. I'm merely offering a suggestion that might help.
Outside of not using drives to jump, my wife is using 5.0 rotations written by dragoons. She looked up a 5.0 rotation guide and practiced them to get them down. She is melded, potted, food ,echod when she goes in. If anyone did the fight sub optimal it was me I did it no melds,no food,no pots, no echo. Only 10 ilvls above her and I am not the only one. She is doing what everyone at her ilvl or lower did that beat it. Buffs like nerfs are meaningless especially if the dev's mess with other parts of the class that effect its dps. Ast is a prime example of numbers dont mean crap on paper, Ast plays great up to and little beyond 70. But soon as you hit 80 reality of just how grossly undertuned and ill thought out the changes SE made becomes apparent. The reverse of this can also happen where class plays and performs like garbage at low levels but improves as it gets higher all cause of how the class was handled.I did not respond to your anecdote because it's irrelevant, but if you insist... Prior to 5.0 ilvl 400 could not be obtained outside of raiding. Not everyone raids nor should they be EXPECTED too. I welcome help, but from what I am seeing the buffs mean little to nothing and she has no choice but to go full i400. Honestly its starting to feel like SE is going force everyone to raid and wear the best gear avalible just to complete the MSQ. I am done though this has gone off topic..
