That Very Merry twitter makes it sound like it's just him. Fair amount of those replies are saying he should change his sound settings.

Check the tweets around it. I just linked the first one, the others are him comparing and saying how he misses the old ones too lol. He did a side by side too. I dare you to tell me the old solid barrel combo is worse sounding than our new one considering we lost the trigger pull and compounding explosion sound and had it replaced with cardboard box beating sounds.

I don't, I have a job in the morning and a friends/family to play with right now, I'm not your mom, you know how to use google. Use the search bar of reddit, same for any social media, check his whole twitter, act like your post holds research by knowing the rest of the community's opinions. I don't see you linking anything so far showing a mass amount of people enjoying these changes and the one thread I can find has at least 20 people flaming her for liking them. Cuz he's gonna comment again, I already showed everything, linked you, proven my points, do your own homework and stop asking for others to fix YOUR problems with something. 5.0 GNB was perfect. If you don't like it go play FFVIII. They didn't remove it from existence.
WAR and DRK are currently big weapon users. GNB is something very fresh. We just need old sounds back and it's back in the game.

i too have a job, family, friends, school, pets, hobbies, activities, dates etc. Yet i have the time to check back. Take as long as you need, weeks, months, just come back with it brother Id love to read. I have no reason to use or check google further than what i have, but i will eventually, just may not be to your specifics.

You didnt link anything that had mass amount of people saying they hated the changes. And my argument was never about the sound, Yours was. I also never claimed to represent a group that wanted my changes. but you did, for your own changes.

As for the girl posting her liking for it, good for her for voicing her opinion, she was flamed by 20 people... thats a lot?

It's bad if it's more Siefer than Squall? Siefer uses a gunblade and our job uses a gunblade (or something close at least)... It's ok to me (sry i never played ff8). Maybe we will see more animations from Squall later too.

For the sfx it sound blunt and like cutting through butter. I dont ear any feedback from the blade and i dont hear the gunparts anymore. It's soo low-pitched too... In a raid with other jobs making a lot of noise, the new gnb sfx is barely audible. That broke the good feeling i had before and that's why i (and other ppl i talked with in the forums) want the old sfx. I can see why some ppl like the new one, but it's clearly not for me. Pls cast the new sfx into fire or give me a mod for the old one... anything (i know no mod will be made but let me dream).
In reddit there's two groups thoose who like or dont mind the changes and thoose who really dislike it. I have seen a lot of players who didnt like it, but maybe i'm wrong.

a number of those reddits are mixed feelings if you scroll down, some really like it some hate it, some calling the previous version "petty" and nothing like they imagined. but i agree some people are upset, and to be honest this part of your post rings very true

I keep seeing disappointing being thrown around a lot. Disappointing story, disappointing X, Y Z. Are you really disappointed or is there no other word for how you feel?

People can only be disappointed if they had expectations,obviously. You might be right that they overuse the term, or maybe if not we should ask what did they expect and why. I think i am lucky that i have no prior experience with ff games and don't know anything about the jobs and names, what ever the devs of ff14 do, i simply cant relate to prior experiences.

PS: i saw a screenshot on reddit that the female pose with the weapon unsheathed is the same as "lightnings" from ff13.

I mean....... we already have the weapon and squall's clothes from the rewards thing. Like the job is fine as is and reps both Squall and Siefer.... if you're digging anymore then that I feel like you're reachign too far. Enjoy the job... WE GOT A FREAKING GUN BREAKER!!!!!! Like that is what I should be seeing.. not nit picks about stances and whatnot. THe sounds make sense tho as I didn't know people hated the ones at the start.
