    Not even that... "Tried" implies effort, that they actually worked on the skills animation when implementing it. All the did was take a skill which has been in PvP since 2.1 (Scholars Aura Blast, specifically) and reused it for Art of War, it's not a new animation at all.

    I'd love it if they'd add some Excogitation style flare to the animation, but perhaps slamming a page on the floor for an explosion of post-it-notes is a bit too... Ninja-ish... Still, book-mage with various war stratagems seems to be the theme they're going for with Scholar now, would be nice if more of its animations reflected that.

    Correction: Art of War is the "did u even try" of AoE animations.
