Will other races get a visual update?

Hello!

Upon receiving the Viera & Hrothgar, considering how well they look and more updated, I was wondering if the other races too would receive a slight visual upgrade to match the new races.

1. Skin Pigmentation/ flushed cheeks, natural contouring/ better complexions
2. Eyelash options
3. Better looking scars that don't look painted on
4. Male Elezen beards?
5. Options to wear blush AND eyeshadow at the same time?
6. Freckles that are a face option that doesn't involve makeup
7. More/ Better colorwheel for everything.

Side by side the older races look terrible compared with Viera and Hrothgar. I definitely think they need an update.

The chances of them doing a visual upgrade is little to none. They claim they wanna do one for XIV but I'm not holding my breath. That's not to say I don't support any visual upgrade to the game tho.

I'm hoping that the whole "no more new races" thing does mean that more development time/resources can now be put towards updating original races. Scar/tattoo/makeup options and muscle toning seem relatively simple things to get started on now that we're into 5.0 (though for all I know it could be unimaginably complex).

The Au Ra males faces are super low texture when compared to others. It's almost embarrassing.

Yeah the visual update will be FF16. lol, will probably see another ffxiv style mmorpg before another ff rpg title too.

I never got the idea they plan to keep this mmorpg going like WoW. They're already at the 3rd expansion and honestly the ride never changes just the MSQ story. They tend to releases lots of random content and just let it die off. I don't get the sense any of this game involves a long-term plan.

I don't see them altering body shapes because it would require amor refitting, but I can def. see them adding new face options, eyebrows, nose and mouth, more voice options, also bumping up the resolution on the textures. This is actually a thing already if you care to see what the modding community is doing, but it would be nice to have as an official thing.

They stated somewhere that they have plans up to a 7.0 expansion, so I'd still see about 6 years of XIV content.

Completely agree with every suggestion from the OP. I think it'd be nice to see some additional facesets in the mix as well. Female Elezen literally only have two. Fantasiaing from an Elezen into a Viera, the difference was staggering. Not only with the customization options but in the minor details. My Viera's skin and eyes and even her teeth look more complex than my elf lady. Eorzea could only be more beautiful if all the races had this kind of customization.
