So at 2.6K dps, damage output is actually less than SB?My guildmate's not even capped and is pulling an easy 2.6k on Titania as WHM -- he's slightly more aggressive than me lol. He was 2.6k dps vs 7.7k hps, I was 1.6k dps vs 10k hps last time we went through.
Healer damage isn't necessarily bad, it's just..boring. The healing portion of the job, as expected, is generally more fun. Especially when something actually goes wrong somewhere.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
Just to add onto this, above average healer dps on stormblood was 2.6k I think 70-80% was 3k+(?) and then it was like 3.5k on the top end. Where average healer dps in shadowbringers is 3.5k and average whm dps is 4k-4.6k with anything over 5k being above average. As far as I can tell right now.
