Twice today I had people leave. First time was in leveling Gubal. He kept dying to the first boss. Healer kept picking him up and healing him but he kept dying. He just left during the fight.

Second time was in Mhach. Again they kept dying to the first boss. To be fair over half the alliance died to the very first mechanic. The death tornado that sucks you in. He just left during the fight.

You can't get better if you don't try. And both times everyone was saying it's fine, mistakes happen. That kind of stuff. So no one was yelling at them.

Sometimes, due to a number of reasons (bad internet, staying awake for days, or simply being "off"), I repeatedly make mistakes that normally wouldn't have happened. During those times, if the feeling of guilt is great enough, I left the party instead of being a burden.
The weird thing is, I'd feel even more guilty if the party says they're fine with it. Maybe those guys have a similar mindset.

Yesterday i had a 30+ minute long Sirensong Sea run because i (WHM) was doing more damage than the two dps. "How do i know that?" you might ask... DNC was single targeting all mobs. SMN wasn't entirely aware that she even existed, i think. It took her the first 5 minutes of just kind of spacing out to realize that she had no summon out, in that time she was individually trying to apply dots to each and every mob instead of using bane. For half of pulls she just stood there while she chose a target to start on, barely got out a couple outbursts before i had holy'd all the mobs to death. Oh and she didn't remember ruin 3 until about 2/3rds of the way through the place, and she used physick on herself every time she was below 85% health until she was full health.

I'm sure the dancer was doing other questionable things, but i was really just fixated on this SMN. I did notice that the DNC would reapply the dance partner buff to the tank before every boss pull, and i'm pretty sure she was only using standard step once per fight.

I would have bailed but i really just needed my leveling roulette out of the way.

Interesting story I think.

I was doing Titania for MSQ using a Duty Finder with a friend. We're both DPS. We had watched a video so knew what to expect.

We failed twice on the DPS phase, wasn't that close. Tanks and healers were pissed telling all DPS that we were crap, and they ended all 4 of them leaving. So here we are 4 lonely DPS alone in the Titania trial, then a tank joined, and 2 healer. While we still waiting for the 2nd tank. The other tank pulls and we start the fight, just before the DPS phase the 2nd tank joins in.

So here comes the DPS phase, where 2 tanks and 2 healers quit because the DPS sucked...we nailed it, completing it and it wasn't even close. It was super easy, and we completed the trial with no issue.

I guess the problem wasn't only the 4 DPS.

So I registered my forum account just to vent about something that took place yesterday in Heaven on High. I was on my last run to hit 70 on red mage when I get 2 dancers and a gunbreaker in my party. Right off the bat I notice neither of them are using their dances, at all, or picking dance partners. I give it a couple floors, maybe they forgot? Nada. Finally I ask them if they could please dance and pick partners to speed the run up a bit and they tell me they are saving it for the final boss. ????. I explain that the dance has a super short cd and does a ton of damage, and picking a partner is a permanent buff. "You don't pay my sub". I didn't actually think people said that unironically. Legitimately the laziest crap I've witnessed the whole time playing this game and I was so thankful to be done with Heaven on High after that.

I am seriously sick of healers just spaming Physick and Cure in EXPERT dungeons. I haven't even taken a single point of damage and they begin to spam it. Even after I reminded them they could speed up the run by doing damage, I haven't seen a single Broil until the last trash mob was at ~5%. Did you ever consider that you have ~20 other buttons in your toolkit? I'm not even sure I saw an Aetherflow stack or not... Now pair that with really subpar DPS DNC and you have 10+ min until the first boss goes down after this performance. That day I learned that this boss worm in Amaurot goes to the centre for a 3rd meteor. The more you know...

I am seriously sick of healers just spaming Physick and Cure in EXPERT dungeons. I haven't even taken a single point of damage and they begin to spam it. Even after I reminded them they could speed up the run by doing damage, I haven't seen a single Broil until the last trash mob was at ~5%. Did you ever consider that you have ~20 other buttons in your toolkit? I'm not even sure I saw an Aetherflow stack or not... Now pair that with really subpar DPS DNC and you have 10+ min until the first boss goes down after this performance. That day I learned that this boss worm in Amaurot goes to the centre for a 3rd meteor. The more you know...

I had a run of Amaurot last night where the SCH spamed Physick on their partner GNB (same last name) and would either let me and the other SAM die to unavoidable AoE or was too late to heal us. Or Indom was on CD. She used Broil and Adlo a few times but they were few and far between. And not a single Art of War. We wiped on the final boss 3 times because she would stand in one spot to heal the GNB and ignore us DPS. It was maddening. I only have so much self-sustain.

^ Tank and healer couples are legit the worst people to deal with. "My heals are only for my boyfriend. Just avoid the aoes, sweaty"

My first time doing Twinning, we wiped 4 times to the final boss who basically just spams very long telegraphed aoe lines. I didn't get salty but I kind of mentally face-palmed because it was the first time I've had multiple wipes since the new expac--we didn't even wipe for my first run of the final trial. This makes my decision to do 50/60/70 for tomes feel like the right decision.

H-how? I mean, I can imagine one time walking into the AoE (I did it on purpose at like 2% just to see what it did as a healer. Not the smartest idea, but...2%) but what else would wipe it?

Got Gubal Library normal mode the other day. Tank goes in pulls the first two birds and I start DPSing. I notice the tank is taking a lot of damage for just two enemies. Check their gear and this is what they're rocking:


I assume Jump potion alt shenanigans but It all went fine. They pulled small and the DPS were good... However they didn't roll for any of the accessories that dropped for them... I feel bad for whoever gets them in higher level content.
