Can we get a dialog option to flirt with the Crystal Exarch? [mild spoiler]

Why you think Yoshi is taking the making everything wearable slow? Because he knows not everybody will like that because FFXIV is a worldwide game. It's easier to get away with it with npcs but not the player character.

You could say well two girls could eb but the difference is that's not something someone would see in a playthrough if they just go through the story.

Some people take the fact that there is even an option to mean that they are having said choice forced upon them regardless of the fact that it is optional, I remember quite a few of these types of complaints when I was reading up on the Mass Effect series.

I mean, nobody would have to pick this option. Nobody has to pick any options at all, if they really don't want to - just close your eyes and click past it and make up whatever your character would say there. That's what I've done more than once, when I didn't like either/any choice offered (or know my character would actually say any/all of them :P). There's a ton of options to be an absolute jerkwad (bordering on downright concerning, frankly, in some cases) but I don't see people getting upset that those options exist because their WoL would never be that much of a nasty person. Or maybe some have and I just didn't see it??

Either way, and I say this as someone who doesn't really care either way if things like flirting are added as options... just pick another option(s). That's what choice is all about.

I really don't think that extra dialogue options would be offensive to anyone. However, I would agree that it's a slippery slope. You would have to add those dialogue options for a female npc regarding a male WoL, and a male & male as well as female & female. Otherwise, you do start to alienate people. I just feel that in this dialogue, there is a lot of room for interpretation. There is the obvious hero worship, for Miqo'te, he's the same race. I don't know if you paid attention, but in the screenshot I linked, he wasn't looking at my character's eyes.

If SE were to ever do this, they would need to add an option to do the same with a female.

Idk if you were playing then but for a Valentine's event, a npc would say "now find yourself a strapping lad" if you were female and for male ... I actually don't remember but it was geared towards finding a female.

People did not like this one bit at all because it basically put their character in a sexuality role they did not like. They could still say their character was gay or lesbian but the game was more or less telling you your character was straight. SE never did this again when it came to duologue.

Now they always give you the option with a "pc" to do the event with.

There was the event a few years ago where regardless of your character's gender, you were rewarded with "puff puff."

Everyone went into it thinking it was lewd, but it was just a bunch of girls giving you a pat down with a snurble. There were no guys doing it, though.

So it wouldn't be the first time, nor the last, where certain options are given regardless of your character's gender.

Well, ok. Yeah, they exist. (Clearly I had succeeded in blocking their existence out of my mind, so how dare you? :P)

On another note entirely, should we count the ability to just walk up to G'raha post-MSQ and say his name at him out of the blue to *be* a flirt? lol Also, its a bit odd they're phrasing it as "Call him G'raha Tia" as opposed to actually telling you a line you are saying. Is the WoL really just walking up to him and he's all "Oh, you're back already? Is anything amiss?" and the WoL just stands there, thinks about it a sec, and goes "G'raha Tia." and... nothing else? lol

Not that his body language when you do it isn't more than enough of a response to make it worth it, of course. lol
