We really need the exarch back! I'm so sad he is not around anymore and I would gladly level all of his roles.

And for the future: (just for the trust-system without lore-reasons) Haurchefant would be a great trust, too.

I really makes zero sense for the Exarch or Lyna to not be available during the first dungeon at the least, post MSQ. For crying out loud SE, Y'stola apparently has lines for the fae dungeon, and she wasn't even there at that point in the story! The heck? Lore clearly doesn't factor in here at all, so it'd be really nice to have them (specifically, BFF Exarch) back in the trust system.

Echoing others, I was surprised/disappointed that Emet-Selch wasn't available for at least one dungeon... would have been hilarious... I weep.

Unless they intend for him to die or become unavailable at some point and don't want to put us in an "Aerith" position where we spent time leveling him and lost it all for story purposes.

Rerun of any dungeon after the story ends is just PvE and has nothing to do with the story so it would be no problem if a characters dies or whatever. Yoshi-P said it in an interview already that after the MSQ you have a crystal copy of the characters cause maybe someone could be away after the story, like for example if Y'shtola went away. (His example, not mine.)

The actual reason is probably that they always wanted your "real" party to consist of the six Scions, Lyna and the Exarch simply exist in the first dungeon to fill for the missing roles at that point in the story, kinda like Tellah and the magus twins in FFIV or Beatrix in FFIX.

Sure, but if that was the case why did they go through the trouble to make the Exarch function as three different roles?

If he was meant only as a filler then they could have just left him as a tank and had that be that.

It's just strange.

After I finished the MSQ and checked the available trusts, I was very worried (still am) he wasn't included, because that means something could happen to him later on. And poor Lyna, too I'm still hopeful they will be added eventually.
