Nope giving your character a voice would be a negative not a positive.
My character should sound how I imagine it not how SE does. dialogue options I am 100% for just not voices options.

Just imagine those poor people who picked Viera 7. How would that sound if it was fully voice acted in cutscenes.
I agree. Main Character (you) shouldn't be voiceacted. but everyone else could be 100% voiced imo.
We just had this topic.

And no, it would not be a good thing to put in anymore. Lines like Thancred's about our "stoic nods" and a certain spoilery thing in SB2 that was already mentioned above would lose all of their impact.
I guess I'm alone with this. I've been so incredibly thrown off multiple times already by the lack of voice that I thought some other people would have been as well. Like how, Spoiler for Rat'tika Greatwood, Y'shtola jumps into a pit to retrieve an antidote to help the people she has been the leader of for the past two years. She grabs it, tosses it to you before saying something like "Take care of them for me", (can't recall the exact words) before falling to her death. And as she falls it transitions to your character where there's just... silence. No call of Y'shtola's name, or a "No!" or any kind of emotion at all. Just the emote of holding your hand out and then lips moving.
I guess its fine if people like it that way, but I just can't get behind it. I feel like if it was Thancred in my place who watched her fall to her death and was able to show some actual emotion about it the whole scene would have been much better. My own character just lowered the quality of the whole thing.

Guess what? Mass Effect was better. And it had a voiced protagonist.

There is definitely something wrong with people who have the opinion of "I don't want it, so you can't have it either."
Obviously if they added voice acting to the WoL, there would be an option to turn it off. Therefor satisfying the desire to see lips moving without sound. But no.. the desire to have silence doesn't stop there. You all do not want people like Kiryoku, the OP, or myself to have it. Not just you, but we can't have it, period, end of discussion, screw what we want. I would say what I think about that if it didn't violate a dozen forum guidelines.
Also another thing that doesn't make sense is for cutscenes to be half voiced and half silence. That never made sense to me, but again it seems many here are desiring us not to have something so disjointed for not even personal selfish reasons, but Malevolent ones. I can understand selfishness, or greed. But simply saying no to something that doesn't affect you in any capacity is wrong.

Doesn't work when you have 10 voice options for each sex for each race. That would end up being too much work I think and probably cost a fortune.

> Mass Effect was better
That's just like, your opinion man... not fact.
I've seen this thrown around a lot. I prefer male Shep, but the female VA delivers her lines better.
Same issue in SWTOR tbh. I thought the Male Inquisitor had the best VA. Others disagree.
