Yep, confirming that it still persists. Issue normally happens when I boot the computer/game again to start another playthrough. At this point, I am trying to toggle between DX9 and DX11. Running Castrum Meridianum now and keeps on disconnecting. Hope the mods don't close this yet as we are all still monitoring it.

Edit: what normally works for me (when the errors happen again), is using DX9 > getting DX error > but not getting booted out. This is not really a fix but that's the only workaround that I can do right now.

I hope this get stickied (or some other similar thread) so there is proper posterity for the issue. 5.01 will be coming this week.. keeping my fingers crossed that it won’t worsen the issue.

First time i got the issue yesterday i was in a inn manager to use the door to get out then i crash due to the DirectX 11 error. now each time i try to log in into the game i just crash on the loading screen to get on my characters, no matter what i do i really hope they fix this problem soon concidering we pay monthly for this game and i can't even get into the game right now!

To answer you question, the clean boot will prevent programs from starting when you turn on the PC. This will prevent other programs/apps from running in the background at the same time as the game, which can potentially interfere with it. Since you are still experiencing this issue, it's difficult to tell how this affected it.

Do you have any other programs or overlays running while playing the game? Does your anti-virus/firewall have the appropriate exceptions for the game?

Hello, I'm not using any other programs/overlays in the game. Outside of browsing, I only use this PC for FFXIV. I also have made exceptions for FFXIV before.
