    WAR suggestion for Onslaught (to incentivize charging)

    Remove WAR's Onslaught 20 Beast Gauge requirement, put it on a 30s cooldown, make it apply Storm's Eye buff or make Storm's Eye combo out of Onslaught.

    Done, now the class flows 100% better! Wars will initiate with Onslaught, have the dps buff and be ready to AoE whenever.

    In most situations, a tank shouldn’t pull with a gap closer anyway. It can ruin melee dps rotations up since the have to move all the more forward to approach the target.

    This is only an issue really in raids and trials. For dungeon runs, open world, and anything else really, being able to charge and instantly apply eye would be a great boon to smooth out gameplay.

    Onslaught applying Eye is fine, but I'd make it 10 seconds, so that you're required to still do Eye Combo. Comboing with Eye is interesting, but again, I don't want it to mess with Eye Combo to the point where we'd just Onslaught every 30 seconds to maintain Eye Buff. Might as well get rid of Eye at that point.

    I think Onslaught granting 10 seconds of Eye would be a nice change.

    Personally I would prefer just a gauge nerf to 10 from 20. It would make SP fit much more nicely into our rotation at 90 gauge without having to use up a FC.

    I don't the point in it consuming beast guage, we never use it unless its for gap closing if we can't hit the boss or during Inner Release. After that you shouldn't ever be using it as its a DPS loss. Personally I would like to see them add a GCD dot for 20 beast guage to add some much needed complexity back to WAR.

    Why would you want to initiate with Onslaught?

    No, seriously. On boss fights it just means that you've delayed melee DPS being able to hit the boss in its first couple seconds, thereby putting them behind relative to the fight's script. So that two-minute cooldown you could use twice before the jump? Not anymore.

    In dungeons, likewise, its basically useless to engage with a gap closer; you have Sprint. Its only real value is in wall-to-wall pulls when you took too long gathering mobs such that they can now hit you while you're still sprinting to the last pack, and at best shaves a couple seconds of extra damage.

    Here's a much less invasive fix:
    • Infuriate can now be used outside of combat.
    • Gauge generated by Infuriate is classified subtly differently from gauge generated by other means:
    • After 10 seconds outside of combat, you will lose 5 of the gauge generated by Infuriate. This will continue at a rate of 5 gauge per 5-second tick until you reenter combat or the gauge provided by Infuriate has depleted.
    • Thus, there is no way to stack gauge before combat so no party need wait for their tank's Infuriate to come up a second time before pull, but you can now easily access Onslaught and your pull rotation is less cluttered.

    Honestly, I like the Storm's Eye idea, but I feel like it ought to be a mere 10 seconds at most, and would even then prefer to just see Onslaught's effective damage brought nearer to Fell Cleave (including its effects on Infuriate) via direct potency buffs.

    This! I think charging is a very fun skill and I'd like to be able to use it more, also if it applied 10s of Eye, you could use it in dungeons and mantain Eye through an AoE rotation.

    It would be an excellent change

    This! Really I have the (unpopular I know) opinion that Alphascape changes (was it 4.1 or 4.2? I can't remember) massacred my boy, that old dual burst phase (big one with Berserk + IR and small one with just berkerk) Deltascape WAR was a job I loved so damn much it was complex enough to be fun and the performance was great and felt earned, after those changes the class become way too simple and all the nuance was lost, I'd welcome anything that makes the job less boring.
