Petition for Crystal Exarch as a Trust (Be warned: Potential Story Spoilers)

Agree. More than this, you still will see Exarch and Lyne after finishing 71 dungeon instead of Scions, and only Exarch, Lyne and Alisaie have chat-lines there (as far as I noticed when I did it after finishing MSQ, at least). I really was sorry to see that we can't use them anymore...

Didn't Yoshi say that they might add new Trust members down the line? There's hope yet for Crystal Exarch and Lyna if so.

Personally I'd like for them to find some way to allow for Ardbert and his crew to become Trust members. I have no idea how they would even begin to explain allowing that considering the state they currently in (and that we don't even know if they're even still around), but I'd love it anyway.

As a side note, when Emet-Selch first approached the party about cooperation, and suggested he might even lend his strength and knowledge, I was really hoping he'd appear as a Trust NPC for at least once dungeon.

And that handwave is bad anyway because we dont even do these dungeons more then once anyway. Everything after the story run is just gameplay anyway. Also seeing how powerful he still was at the end, I honestly doubt that he would be that weak.

Its just sad because people might lose this part of the lore. (I also find it bad that trust that were not there at the dungeon dont have dialogue in it..)

Yeah, the subsequent runs of a dungeon are non canon and make no story sense, just for gameplay, so the idea of trusts having to make sense outside of the initial run of the dungeon doesn't fit. Does it make sense to have the crystal Exarch around for dungeons he couldn't have been at during the msq? No but it doesn't stop them from putting Uriangr, Thancred etc into the 71 dungeon for trusts. The lore doesn't matter it's all non canon, they could make Tataru, Brayfox and Iceheart trusts and it wouldn't make things any LESS weird story wise than how it works already.

Aye I freaked out a bit when he said that. Emet-Selch as a trust would have been amazing (and would have made a lot more sense from a design perspective to be a one-time temporary trust if any of them need to be).

So glad someone started a thread for this! The Exarch is my favorite character too. Really hoping he and Lyne are added as Trust characters soon.
