i do like the idea of hrothgar but its theoretical execution gives me pause. i'd feel pretty disappointed if it was just a female roegadyn with fur and fangs. you see this a lot in fiction where the males look like actual monsters and the females look like human females with just different color skin or very surface features like fangs or whatever have you

I have a question. A long while ago when Mr.Happy interviewed Yoshi P. about the Hrothgar/Viera situation, he said that they would make an official statement here on the forums. Have they done this yet? I've been too focused on the game and havent been checking the forums much. This video right here has the question in it

Theres actually an ingame model of female Hrothgar in FFX and concept art of them. They would have that to go off of. I would be highly disappointed if they just gave fem hrothgar "Kawaii Uguu" waifu faces.

My only concern with female Hrothgar is that they're going to come with the face tied to the hair like the male counterparts. In fact, if the ladies didn't have their hair tied to their face like their men, I'm sure people would be very upset indeed. People have pointed out a lot of favoritism towards lady characters as far as glamours go after all.

There is always the chance that they will expand the hairs later on. I am hoping that the Viera hairs eventually go to the other races, at least some, and vice versa. I would also hope that, in part, the hair limitations and restricting them to the faces was something they did to save on resources. Plus, clearly the Viera hair had more priority than Hrothgar hair. I suspect because of their very different head shape it is not as easy as moving a hair model from a Hyur to a Mito'te. I'm definitely hoping to see more things open up to the Hrothgar as things go forward. I also don't like that Aura horns are tied to facial features, but I feel like hair is such an expressive feature, as well as the face. Locking them together just doesn't feel right. So fingers crossed for expanded options in the future, and hopefully those options will expand to future Hrothgals.

Did anyone notice there is a mention of a female Ronso miner in the First during MSQ? They obviously exist within the lore, why exclude them?
I really hope they add them down the line, I would play one in a heart beat. I just hope they don't attach hairstyles to the face as they did with the males. If they do, they should make it "free" at the aesthetician to change faces/hairstyles without using a fantasia.

And I honestly don't mind if the hairs are tied to faces like the males early on and are separated later. As long as we get them. :T

Dunno if I remember it correctly, but the miner guy only says it was his wife. He never specified if they were Ronso or not. Im not gonna say that the first is equal to the source, but if some similarities racially are present, then its more likely his wife wasnt a Ronso (as lore says Hrothgar Females are fairly rare.) Not saying his wife wasnt Ronso, or theyre rare, but its worth keeping in mind.
