Just wanted to say thank you for my favourite story yet. DNC feels great, BLM feels great, everything I've touched has felt improved on. It's very obvious that a lot of effort went into this expansion. Well done.

I haven't finished the MSQ yet because I've become obsessed with concurrently leveling DNC/MCH/GNB to 80, and I am only in the 73 MSQ line, however, it is fantastic. If anything, Shadowbringers reignited my passion for the game and I am leveling more jobs and branching out more than ever before. Can't wait to finish the MSQ, but I am honestly in no rush.

One of the best stories yet. I really felt, for once, that it was our story. We usually just come and help people, it's not really 'our' story, but now, it really felt like it, at least, from my perspective.

My favorite expansion msq. Great to see after 4.0 let me down.

Dancer and Gunbreaker are fun. DNC took me a little bit to wrap my head around but once it clicked it's been fun and not that hard.

I am far from finishing any story (a bit busy right now) but usually change and expansion packs meaned crap in the games I played before. For example, the "needed balance changes" that new professions caused in GW2 ruined both of my professions so much and/or took away their spirit that every time something new has been added or changed, I rather wished they would never expand on it.

When I saw the changes for Red Mage and that it is a mix of adjustments (removal of Tether) and improvement (Veraero II and Verthunder II and adjusted Shatter) and everything, I think this is the first expansion ever that is not killing my love and restored a bit of faith in videogame developers.

So while I have no idea about the story, the side effects are enjoyable to me, so I can clap my hands from the back of the stage, too!

I was trying to figure out why this story was so good, and you've hit the nail on the head. It's probably why I like the 30-50 DRK story too.

I really need to find out who our character used to be, darn Emet never told us in the end. I also like that they have maybe, finally told us what the echo is. We probably have the echo because we have part of the split soul of an immortal.

Still haven't completed the MSQ lol (~78 MSQ now) but I'll continue what I said previously earlier on, this has been exceptionally good pacing and great story. Of course the environment visuals and music have been fantastic as well (probably one of the consistent core reasons I adore ff games). They've mastered and implemented the lessons of the past here, and then just went well beyond that. I do not want to end my FFXIV saga just yet but I hope the talent shown in this expansion could one day turn into some FFXX or whatever, to release an MMO at this level would be something .

So far I can think of three things that struck me off so far, Amaro mount (not mad, just shocked seems to be out of sync with how it was presented and past MSQ mounts), my worry that trusts will kill squadron content and that trusts also reset their levels at the end, and funnily enough the water in Eulmore that soap bubble effect it goes way too fast hahahaha (link). Now if that's all I can come up with so far as "issues" then holy lali-ho batman you've done well.

Haven't completed it yet so I don't want to say that's my verdict but if it maintains then well done well done, I just need to finish up before saying this is my favorite expansion lol.

With the exception of what they've done to Scholar (and I hear AST as well, but haven't played that to confirm myself)....this expansion has been hands-down awesome so far. Easily the best FFXIV expansion.

(now just fix the healers other than WHM, pretty please?)
