If they'd just fix the problems with Eureka like getting one-shotted by everything and having to collect every logos action just to get your stuff, and made it so you could mount the second you get there I wouldn't mind Eureka.

Yeah, eureka was better than the ARR/HW grind. After having done all three kind of Relic weapon grinds I'm of a different kind: don't bring back this utterly unfair grind back that was the ARR/HW relic grind. Eureka might be monotonous and a bit boring, but at least everyone could do that without either having a high-end crafter or spending millions of gil.

I prefer a grind. Couldn't stand Eureka. Basically fate train content. It was dull and boring.
I think Eureka was alright in the end, its major problem was that Baldesion Arsenal was gated behind such a massive grind in the first place. I'm pretty sure people would have liked Eureka far better if every zone had a BA-style raid at the end.
The concept of BA is too good to be left dead and abandoned, it is legitimately one of the most interesting pieces of content released among this predictable patch cycle.
"Consider this old adage: When a Bard sings alone in a desert, and no one is around to hear him... Is he truly singing?"

I think eureka was infinitely worse then any other grind i've ever seen.
I havent done even one stormblood relic and i did 2 arr, and like 5 or 6 heavensward ones.
One thing i hated and which directly led me to quit was me entering pagos seeing that we have to start all over again at zero with leveling being killed by just about everything. The fact that if you have to respawn that you lose xp is a dealkiller too.
But perhaps the biggest issue was the fact that it isolated you from everything else that you can do in the game. No tending to retainers, no gardens no quick helping someone out.
This never again

Be interesting to get the participation numbers after all is said and done. Personally I enjoyed the over world content and was happy we didn't have to do the same ARR/HW stuff all over again. BA was amazing for me personally, I enjoyed it immensely.

That's what killed it for me. I didn't mind doing the NM fates in Anemos, especially because you didn't really have to group for those for a protracted amount of time. To get real XP, though, you had to do the wretched CLs... and then I got to Pagos, died a few times without being able to get a revive, and would have had to go back to Anemos to do CL in order to get my level back up to the point where I could go back to Pagos and die again. On top of that, navigation, while semi-reasonable in Anemos, was horrific in Pagos. It was like the whole experience was designed to be maximally unpleasant, and I'm just not masochistic enough.I think eureka was infinitely worse then any other grind i've ever seen.

Anything but Eureka
It is one of the worst Relic quest
Old relic quest have flaw like needing DoH to complete, but compare to Eureka, it is nothing
If any new player or return vet come back to do Eureka when it almost die down, that mean the player miss the initial leveling and Fate train. God have mercy trying soloing Eureka.
They have said that they want to try and do something that's a 'happy medium'.
I can't help but feel that the only way to do this, would be to have some instanced area like Eureka, but have access to it, or to progression within it, linked to openworld content like FATEs.
Perhaps access requires bicoloured gemstones, or rank 2 gemstone items or something.
This additional gatekeeping would then warrant a partial nerf in grinding intensity within the instanced area.
If they did this, then the next 'Baldesian Arsenal' could be gated behind the initial mechanic of gemstones or something, instead of all that faff of spawning certain FATEs in Eureka and activating portals.

A happy medium is probably something like a Eureka instance but inside there are mini dungeons to enter and beast tribe style repeatable quests to grind.
