Dude I don't want short Viera males but you need to stop acting like the people that do are monsters. It just a difference of opinion. The fact is we don't know what they will look like. We can guess but we don't know. Let people hope for what they want (as long as its not kids) and we will see.

I'm not saying that cant be tall and I hate people that want them to be tall( I AM ONE OF THEM). I'm just sick of this "iT hAs To bE My wAy" attitude.

One, I don't want Viera males to be short. I want them to be the same height as the ladies but the witch hunt you put against people that do is so annoying that it makes me have to say something every now and again.

I have repeatedly stated my own desire for them to be the same height as the women throughout this thread, though I'd settle for the men being a little taller. If we're in agreement, I'm not sure why you feel compelled to bend over backwards to defend those who are pushing for the men to be shorter. There's no 'witch hunt', just strong criticism of those trying to hijack the race for their own purposes. Some of which are nefarious as evidenced by Yoshi-P's official statements.

The people that wanted to play a child are not all the people that wanted to play a short character just like the people that wanted to play a more feminine male aren't the same people that want short characters. They may over lap but they aren't all the same. Trying to put them all in one group and label them all as suspect is completely a bully tactic.

There's a very strong overlap and since many of us have been posting in this thread consistently since its creation we've seen first hand how some of the people initially pushing for male viera to be child-like have simply shifted their narrative to pushing for them to be slim, short, feminine and androgynous far beyond what is already possible in terms of character creation. No, it isn't 'everyone' though it's a large enough portion that the suspicion is absolutely justified.

There is a difference between child and short and I don't see how you don't get that. Yoshi literally plays a lala dude so he clearly like shorter models. You can make a character be short and not look like a child.

See above. The issue is not that people are asking for short characters. The issue is that they are seeking to push the boundaries far beyond what is currently available which pushes things into 'child-like' territory. It's not a difficult concept to grasp.

Second, I have NEVER see any lore stating that the males were tall. They said they were fierce warriors that lived off the land. They could still but shorter for that to happen.

Yoshi-P and Matsuno have both put forward statements detailing how they envision male viera and in both cases they are presented as being tall. Many of the people asking for them to be short are well aware of that fact and yet seek to hijack male viera regardless. It shouldn't be difficult to work out why that doesn't sit well with those of us who want them to be added as they are described and presented.

Finally, they have a census out for the most played races midlanders and miqo'te are the largest group that isn't subjective.

I see you completely ignored the points that I raised. Again, Midlanders are popular in large part because they have the most options in terms of customisation. The taller races, meanwhile, suffer from various issues that make them less appealing to play - Elezen being a prime example. Elves are one of the most popular picks in other MMO's yet they aren't in this game due to bizarre proportions.

Tbh, I think the term child is....misleading? when someone says child, you think ages 5-12, and we can all agree no one is asking for an Elin but (probably?) a more fresh out of middleschool anime character look...which is still a minor. Kinda playing with semantics but just trying to guess why the word child may seem unsettling for some. /shrug

Most feel that way but Theo is right about that. There use to be some that did want a child not a young adult but Yoshi's statement lucky crushed those dreams.

Its fine to use this thread for that, also, its a way of showing support. It'd make no sense if we just spammed over and over GIVE US MALE VIERA SE, wouldnt it? Also, the devs can have insight at this thread in case they havent finished the concept stage to get ideas, and see what the ppl of this thread want
