And that exact mindset is what causes my anxiety when dealing with strangers in this game. No one has patience for even the slightest mistake. Not "hey I didn't bother looking at a guide" mistake, but "oops I had an FPS drop and didn't dodge an attack and I died" kind of mistakes.
Also "get better ones"? Like friends are just people you choose based on skill? That's a really messed up way to approach friends. Like if you can't profit off them they're not worth anything? Hello? Please get help.

While hes being blunt, the simple fact of the matter is people like me grinded for that mount and subsequent stuff. We put our effort in, improved, and were rewarded for our efforts. Short of having an actual disability that limits your motor skills or cognitive skills (and Im not joking, Im being 100% here, as in real deal impairments that youve seen a certified physician for with clinical treatments), it is not beyond you to learn and improve. If your mentality is "It's to hard to do, therefore I should just petition it to be easier for me" , then frankly the issue lies with you.
It's being an elitist if someone snubbed you by saying "Gawsh, you pleb. Git gud scrub, it's easy. Even a baby could do this." It's not elitism by saying "Hey, work on improving. It's not so hard that you cant do it without practice and some effort." This is the point being made. If youre having time, practice and get better. If you dont want to spend the time doing that, then no, you shouldnt have easier access to the rewards. The simple fact is it at times sounds like youre making excuses for being unable to complete the content. It's to hard. My friends arent good enough. The PF is full of people who have 0 tolerance for even slight mistakes or drops.
It's a bunch of "It's everyone elses problem, not mine." PF isnt that bad. Everyone has room to improve. Time nad effort has to be applied. It's as simple as that. Youll get more out of this game if you bite the bullet and accept that if you are having trouble with content, it's likely gonna be on you to improve so you can clear it. Cause as you get better, youll end up teaming with better people, and accomplish more. It can be a pain at times, but thats how it works.

Holy hell on wheels can nobody read that I said I'm fully capable of doing it, and have cleared it multiple times without dying, and that it's not because I need to "git gud", it's just that I'm damn tired of rude people that want it in one clear or they quit because they can't stand trying again?
I think I'm done with this thread, people just want to assume it's because I'm bad and refuse to acknowledge the negativity that plagues this playerbase (and many others, I'm sure).
However, thank you for understanding what I'm talking about.
Oh sure, my friends are only as good as their DPS numbers...

I didn't say to remove your friends or to ditch them. Just get friends from tiers of play that are above you. I have friends that never step into EX content and others that go as high as clearing Ultimate multiple times and doing parse runs. I take players who I know are comfortable with the level of content of what I'm planning to run. Think I'll bring someone that doesn't step into EX to sub for Savage?
I have to echo what other people are saying because it's only been the truth for me. I've cleared this fight nearly 100 times (50 totems for myself, then 50 totems for a friend) over a long span of time since it came out. At first I did farm the fight with like-minded savage players like myself and it was generally a breeze. After the raiding scene died down, the only people left trying this fight were people that missed it while it was fresh, my casual friends.
They were not in any way prepared for this fight and often griped to me how hard it was to clear this fight in PF. But because I wanted them to have their mount, I took it upon myself to run it with them, show them firsthand how clearable it is with as less stress as possible, and I got them to the level they needed to be in order to clear this fight with any PUG. Was the PF people generally negative? not at all in my experience. we all wiped many times but we all understand how RNG Rathalos can be in the 2nd phase and just rolled it off and tried again.
+1 to everything Melichoir said.
Yeah. That's entirely messed up there. But it's what I've come to expect from the people on the forums.
With that said, I ran EX 7 times with a chill PF party. I was shaking so bad by the end of it I had to drop out. I only caused the wipe the first time when we were still figuring out how to play with one another and everyone was really cool with it. I didn't wipe us again but I hated every moment of every single one of those 7 runs. It was so exhausting, mentally, as I have the same anxiety you have. (Well, not the -same-, I suppose, but very similar!)
The content should be able to be unsynced. I've never played any Monster Hunter games for more than five minutes but it's my understanding that you can run into any monster at cap level (?), in stupidly over leveled gear, and curb stomp them. Same deal here. It's not wrecking the contribution Capcom made if you can do it in their game, though I can see why they might think that.
I'm entirely with OP and I can't accurately describe how I feel about the whole "get better friends" thing, because the forum has strict rules about cussing. But uh. Enjoy being elitist and lonely, I guess? (Saying "get better friends" is NOT being blunt. It's being the worst. End of story.)

Well, Im big enough to admit I misunderstood your initial post, so sorry in that regards.
However, It's still a you/your friend thing. This concept or belief that the PF is full of negativity is a skewed perception you have (along with the idea that grinding out the 50 tokens is to much. There are many players who grind out twice that for Wolfs). Possibly you had a bad experience or two. However, its on the whole fairly neutral if not positive. I've grinded out Rathalos. I know whats in the PF. Yes, there are bad eggs, but they are by and large the minority of players. If you feel anxious doing PF, perhaps maybe PF comes off as negative is because your anxiety is rubbing people the wrong way, or maybe youre misinterpreting what other people are saying. Perhaps you have really do have bad luck, and the RNG gods have deemed it fair to bless you with all the worst players. Dont know, but the idea that the player base is a cess pool of toxicity is hyperbole.
If your solution to PF is to use your friends, but they arent up to snuff, then help them get up to snuff. Again, thats an issue of self improvement. Instead of asking content be made easier, help your friends improve so they can do the content with you. It's either that or learn to cope better with the more negative aspects of PF. Again, this all goes right back to dealing with yourself and not finding excuses for the content. If you dont want to interact with other players, and you dont want to help your friends improve (or they have no interest in improving) then thats that. Find like minded people you gel with and can do the content then. That takes effort on your part. Stop saying "Well, it should be unsynched so my friends or I dont have to invest the effort in getting better or interacting with other players." It all comes back to what you can do, not asking or suggesting to SE that "PF sucks, so nerf it so I dont have to put the effort to solve this problem."
While not worded right, the concept is pretty clear. Many of the "elite" players have many friends and are quite sociable happy people. They dont make excuses for the content. And they have friends who arent interested in the higher content. These 'elite' players just decide to play with other players or friends who can do the content. The fact you think people will be lonely because they seek out like minded people to do content is kinda shallow. If the friends you have arent willing to improve, then finding friends who can do the content is an option.
