The fact that they officially acknowledged this at all is hilarious to me. While they're at it, they really should re-record all of the Viera voices as they all sound pretty lackluster imho. I think my alt is voice 4 and the delay on that after attacking is really grinding my gears!

I had chosen 4 as well, but thanks to the OP's videos, bought a fantasia last night and switched.
I hated the delay in her battle-cry. Why yell after shooting? lol

I have 5 and I like it a lot, but when I play as Dark Knight the battle voice is very repetitive, like, almost constant, and doesn't really sound like my character normally does. But when I play as Astro the noises happen less frequently, if at all. I remember my Au Ra's voice and it was awesome, it had a great sound and I had no issues with it what so ever.

Just confirmed it was a mistake.

Well, yeah. Tidus's laugh was supposed to sound terrible and forced at that point.
Viera's voices weren't supposed to sound terrible, so it's even more jarring XD

I haven't seen an ETA but I'm also not giving them more money to fix something they've deemed a bug.

People have been asking for battle sounds in the character creator for a long while, this just really drove it home.

Unfortunately for me, I was fooled by the fact that the viera voices in the previews were all hyur midlander voices, so I checked the available midlander battle voice videos (nobody had posted viera on early access day 1 of course, and I didn't want to waste an hour or two making alts to run around and test battle voices) and confirmed hyur 7 sounded totally fine alongside the emotes.

I still get people commenting on it nearly every dungeon run, I've started warning people to use /voice if it's bothersome when we first start up
