First i think the required Moogle Nut Charms need to be reduced to 10 (there's no reason they should be double Ifrit's for a weapon that can be arguably worse depending).

I like the idea of increased drop rates for both, but lately i'm just tired of seeing nothing so i'm starting to lean towards 100% drop rates if it's at least 3~ or so (no less).

Personally, i would rather they create a system where it keeps track of your loot progress and increases the drop rate each time you don't get anything.
If this suggestion is too difficult, i believe a currency system would suffice. With each win gaining a guaranteed amount towards completion (it would ease up on our inventory space with all the nuts/totems).

At the end of the day though everyone likes to feel like they're getting somewhere when they complete "difficult" content.
They have to stop designing everything where some people get nothing at all. Even if it "tricks" the user psychologically yet takes longer in the end to steadily obtain something.

    People like to see progress.

Just give us the Weapons into our loot list!!!!
drop rates are fine. But its sad that i cant give my 3rd ifrit blade to the tank who actually really wants it.
Just let the weapons drop to the loot list, so we can share our 2nd and 3rd drops of same weapon to someonewho rly needs them.

In line with this, the actual drops should be loot list along with a gradual increase towards a guaranteed one. Oh well, they're just going to do what they want to do in the end anyway.

If they let us loot list weapons then it should stay as is for drop rates.

This so hard. I just don't see the appeal in an exchangeable currency-type item for these battles. Maybe for future content that is actually difficult (and by difficult I mean taking people more than 5 hours to figure out how to kill and/or the inability to farm everyday all day), but for the Primal battles it's just dumb and so very, very unnecessary.

Really, in the time it takes to accumulate (even in a 100% drop rate example) enough charms/totems to get an item, other, luckier, people are getting multiple drops that are just falling to the ground.

Just get rid of this whole system, put it to the side for whatever future content that it might be more fitting for, and let the primal weapons drop to loot.

Another solution i was thinking of the other day was to just make the damn things exchangeable (totems/nuts).

Require that you must actually win the fight before being able to exchange for a weapon. Let them be overpriced, it's retarded as it is now & seeing anything go to waste.

Until now I did 5 Ifrit kills having 2 totems and a weapon, so I'm not having this problem. Speaking for the players who don't receive these totems and nuts often, I would higher the chance of getting the totems/nuts instead of a 100% get each established times.

I posted this in the battle environments thread, but figured more eyes will read this thread then that one.

    ---

I would like to offer up my linkshells data with the kupo nut charms. Unfortunately, we haven't done enough Ifrit's in 1.20 to make a good assumption if it needs an increase or not, but the general view point it seems is that the Totems have a horrid drop rate.

Anyways, here are our Good King Moggle Mog XII statistics.

Obviously these drop rates don't reflect what everyone else is getting in the game, but from this data I personally don't believe making them 100% drop rate is needed (the nuts, cant say for the totems). Since multiples can drop at a single time, (most we've seen is 3 at a time) it seems that it will most definitely average out to more then 1 nut per run in the long run.

I think the larger issue at hand, which some have commented on is that these items (both the nuts and totems) aren't needed at all. Simply allowing the items to fall into the loot list is the easier fix to this issue. I'm not really sure why SE allowed for this to happen in Darkhold, but not in the Primal battles. Oh wait, I do. To create an incredibly frustrating and company-hating time sink. Grats? ;\

It would be wiser to allow players to blow on through content with nothing to do afterwards, then to piss on us while we ram our heads against our keyboards, watching items which we've already obtained drop one after another while someone else could have used it. I fear if this game gets "real", this is the kind of crap we'll have to deal with for larger numbers.

Better idea Yoshida and Co. Allow the weapons to drop into the loot pool, don't worry about players snatching up items and running off with them (ie. stealing). The community will deal with those players, with such low numbers across servers, people like that won't last very long.

    ---

We just want to enjoy our game and the time we spend with it. To still be killing Ifrit after 300+ times just to get that last person his/her last item is NOT FUN. It's ridiculous. To see that it's possible to get nothing for 10-20 minutes of work is NOT FUN. It's ridiculous. Use this as motivation. Since players will blow on through content fast if the weapons drop to the loot pool, it should force you guys to create better and long lasting content for us to play with.

All of these instances are nice--correct steps for the future, but create something more grand each and every time. Create something worthwhile, create something with replay value. Your SE, you know how to create effective time sinks as well as replayable content, go back to your roots!

All 7 weapons should drop in the first fight, regardless of victory or not! There needs to be less end-game content, and more filler!

Seriously though, I haven't even beat Ifrit yet, so I can't really talk. 1 totem/nut per fight seems fair, with the current weapon drop percentage staying the same...so you can still get lucky and get an item you want, while saving up for another.

Also, make it to where duplicates don't drop.
