MSQ quest level - ERROR! [spoilers]

The level 79 MSQ, 'The Light of Inspiration', has a prereq of completing at least one of the role quests in Shadowbringers...

... which means you have to be LEVEL EIGHTY to finish the quest, since you can't get the final role quest of a series until then.

Does NO ONE proof read this stuff? Seriously?!

Please, correct the quest information for this (& any following) level '79' MSQ to properly read as level 80.

    Next quest is level 80.

And I am pretty sure they did it on purpose. The main issue I have is that the quest claims you can turn it in when you haven't done the role quest.

This has nothing to do with proof reading. It's a way to nudge the players towards actually doing their role quests (which start at 70 and which reward EXP) before they hit the level cap.

Thing is, you can't finish the role quests at all until 80. You physically cannot turn in the L79 MSQ until you hit level 80 and finish the level 80 role quest.

Which is extremely silly. They should have split it so that particular part of the MSQ was level 80. This is the third thread I've seen of people being confused/annoyed by this, and there's really no good reason for it to be the way it is.

Even though I'm not in expansion, I would agree that it'd be simpler to just make the quest in question be a level 80 quest. But, more than likely, they don't want to give you quests at max level until the very last one. It would, admittedly, feel a little awkward, if they've tried to tune it so you're hitting 80 right about as you make it to that finale, and instead needed to scale it back so you're already at cap a few steps ahead. Idk. Weird sentiments. But again, I'm not even there.

This is mainly what they need to change if they want to keep it at 79.

Huh, I didn't think of that. As long as the role quests up to 78 give more exp combined than the 79 MSQ, then I guess that makes sense.

I noticed this, said "oh i guess ill get to 80 then! It'll be smooth sailing after!"
Got to 80 with roulettes and fates, no biggie! Did my role quest, was fun! I enjoyed the little story, seeing the character i interacted with grow, and learning some of the lore. Got to 80, super psyched! Smooth sailing form then on.

I dont understand why small things like this get people in to such a tizzy. I mean... arn't you wanting to get to 80 -anyway-?

I think it's because you aren't told you need the Role Quest item till that quest itself? Because in thar case it can let you know at 79 thar you need to do it and let you still get exp from the Role quests instead of letting you hit 80 and then learning you need to do one.

... maybe it's just me, but I was also peeved by the long walk back there after getting the 80 role quest finished.

It is probably just me, but I feel like even after getting flight or mount speed boosts, I'm moving through wet concrete, and move way too slow on mounts.

I mentioned this on the "bugs"-section of the german forums, too. Cause what do you want with the XP the level 79-quest gives you when you have to be level 80 to finish it? Cause the quest is marked with XP as reward... XP you loose if you have no second class on this level... That has to be changed so that you can finish the quest and the part where you need the "item" of the rolequest is the start of the next quest. That would make sense.
