So I love the city of Amaurot, a.k.a. one of the main cities of the civilization/people whose survivors became the Ascians (see?! major spoiler!). The jazz is awesome, the view of the city from above is stunning. What those people could do and how well they coexisted is amazing. Did I mention the jazz?

I mean yeah the Ascians were genocidal jerks, but I can see why Emet-Selch recreated the city with powerful enchantments. I enjoyed chatting with the people there, and given that this is just a poor reflection, the original city must have been something to see.

Won't happen, but I would definitely visit there or buy housing

OK, so, I mean, I guess that isn't a big of a spoiler as how Emet-Selch is defeated but still, there is so much that helps build the momentum and atmosphere going into that fight.

The issue with buying housing there is that now that now that Hades/Emet-Selch is dead, the enchantments are fading. Amaurot as it was recreated will eventually disappear entirely back into the murk without the enchanter to keep the illusion going. That said that area is my new AFK hang out in between quests and duty roulette. I love the music so much it hurts.

It's a Fate reward actually! Complete all Fate rewards to Rank 3 in the Tempest and you can buy it!

I would, however, absolutely love if they added housing walls, furniture, etc. in the style of Amaurot's architecture. The city is beautiful.

Yeah I said housing wouldn't happen, just that I would totally be there for it if it did. And honestly, the fading thing is irrelevant as it will still be waiting to fade until the game shuts down

But sure, inns or other facilities would be welcome as well (but also unlikely though not as much as housing)

Story-wise it's better to not encourage people to come to that area by adding game facilities there. It's supposed to be utterly deserted and only inhabited by ghostly illusions. Crowds of players would wreck it.

For me Amaraut displace a classic Final Fantasy City. Look at FF VII, VIII or XV. They all have this big cities. Although I felt like they don't really fit in with the Eorzean lore, I'm so glad they managed to create Amaraut. I'm spending a lot of time down there. It is just stunning and beautiful!

while I don't think we're getting housing there, it would be cool if this place was related to getting the next relic weapon, we could use technology from that city in order to have it made, after all the NPC which gives us our class gear and i'm 90% sure will be doing our relic weapon is situated pretty close to there. It would also explain why they've been so quiet about the next relic weapon in comparison to last time, they didn't want to give away spoilers.
