    i was SMN main but i beat the MSQ as BLM. what an amazingly fun job. and the "no movement" drawback is basically gone now. i can only hope SMN changes gets reverted, especially egi assault. absolutely unnecessary skills. BLM gameplay flows beautifully between AF and UI meanwhile. SMN gameplay is a mess of unmatching cooldowns, awakward downtime or "press 10 buttons in 5 seconds" phase

    This is a pretty accurate representation of my feelings, seeing as I am (or was) an AST main who also dabbled in SCH a lot.

    Suffice to say I've had a bit of a job identity crisis this expansion. I don't have a main job anymore that I like to play. I play tanks and RDM but I wouldn't say any are a "main" for me.

    I look at the AST and SCH response and shake my head. Leveling both of them, I'm not seeing any major issues. Some QoL fixes are needed of course, but nothing so horrible that the jobs are broken.

    I expect MCH to become the new "Bard" for players who just want to DPS only as the Range Physical DPS.

    Dancer is nice but some people will get annoyed with the Mini-game Simon Says mechanic for the dancer's buff.

    AST is incredibly weak in terms of healing and damage. The cards are underwhelming. Divination is underwhelming. I felt incredibly useless to every party I had while leveling AST. AST was one of my favorite jobs in this game that I played in content from dungeons to Ultimate, and it was a chore getting it to 80. I’ve since switched to leveling WHM, which already feels far more comfy by comparison.

    SCH, while stupidly strong at healing (especially at level 78 with that completely broken Sacred Soil trait), is incredibly boring compared to how it used to be from every SCH main I’ve met thus far in the game. They also cannot spend their excess Aetherflow on Energy Drains, which forces them to either overcap stacks or spend them on worthless healing.

    Well, it looks like it's global that SCH and AST were the mos affected jobs.
    I hope devs really watch this chart, go and check the healer forums and see how disappointed and sad we are with these changes so they can fix this out. Specially AST. I don't want to level it up anymore.

    This, I'd happily give up some of our new healing potency for more complexity. Sacred Soil in particular was already useful but DAMN is it broken with the added regen.

    They perform the same dps wise, one is slower the other is a constant active time event. It comes down to how you want to apply the damage.
