Funny thing is if more people voiced how they wanted Viera male and it wasn't in your idealistic area you'd have problems with it.

Because the more it changes your vision of things the more you will blame people for ruining something you want and if it came out like what people asked for and it did not fit your particular taste you would get angry and I am sure you'd be the next person to post that you were un subbing.

I mean if we are gunna be realistic viera as a whole both male and female would be heavy set they are a race of forest dwelling warrior people. Yet the females all look like supermodels. Because the women do the fighting they are just like amazon women or you could say like the mithran race from FFXI they are the warriors while the males stay home and probably take care of the sons and daughters.
If you don't see them then they are probably stay at home dads and probably don't do much to be fit.

I am just looking at it realistic wise, people want strong muscled up viera's with a baby face fine but others want something different if they ignore lore and if people push for it and that's what happens will you accept it?

I mean I don't care if its not released but if I have a say so I want to give my opinion.

I mean even if it came out the way you all want it that's fine it doesn't bug me but I wouldn't get your hopes up they could just vision it to be totally something else with different looks either party wins the question is will you be able to handle that choice if SE chooses to do something you dislike.

You can't demand proof that male Viera exist, and then specify the only form of proof you'll accept. It's a logical fallacy.

Male Viera exist. This game talks about them multiple times. We know they exist in small numbers on the first because many of the men died defending the villages from the flood of light. We know they're the less common sex on the Source. We also know that people on the First have seen them and lived to tell the tale, relaying stories of how they were deterred from venturing further into Rak'tika.

Just because they haven't released a completed model of the way the sex would look doesn't make the race female only. Additionally, as has been mentioned in this thread a few hundred pages ago, lore should exist primarily to restrict the developers, and less so to restrict the players. To this end, they do a very good job. I'd point to the Miquote as an example of this. Go to Forgotten Springs of Peering Stones and count up all the male cats you see and then count up all the females. It's been a few months but I believe the numbers in Forgotten Springs are something along the lines of 27 females to 2 males in the entire settlement, and this is supposedly accurate to the way sun cat society works.

To that end, the developers would make the models available to players to build, but might not ever use them for NPCs because of their rarity (think of how few male miquote NPCs we interact with. Almost every one of any significance is female, and this is lore friendly for it to be that way)

Similarly, the duskwight elezen are even rarer in lore than the males of the Viera or the Miquotes, yet they're playable. Just the developers have used fewer then 5 duskwight characters before Shadowbringers, and now the overwhelming majority of the we see are among the Night's Chosen, and even then possibly because they're using the more dark/blue skinned variants for all races in those clans.

I don't really care much for what male buns are gunna look like if they ever are a thing then I have faith in SE that they will do a good job. Apart from shota I would rather not have male buns at all then have a load of male lolis runnign around keep that shiz away from FFXIV and go play Tera.

What they mean is that male Viera are referenced in the lore, even the very lore that people point to in order to discount their existence. In the alliance raid, male Viera are referenced to exist. Come on now, use your head.

I never said anything about them being Feminine, you did. I just said them being attractive; you're putting words in my mouth and responding to arguments I never even made, which seems to me that you had these responses pre-recorded. You hate feminine men, we get it. Yoshi said their body types would more resemble Elezen, so there is a possibility of them looking more lithe and elegant, more closely matching their female counterparts.

No, I wouldn't at all. There are many people in this thread who advocate for more masculine looking Viera, as well as those who wish for more feminine men. Besides, Square could always pull the "Why not both" option like they did with Hyur. The two clans don't always have to mean "This one has one range of skin tones and this one has a different range of skin tones but otherwise they are the same."

I'm confused. You want proof that they exist in game? But you want images of something that doesn't have an official cameo yet? You won't accept text of NPCS saying they exist and how they're around? ONLY images of something that has been for over a decade talked about only through text because square has YET to finally show the male?

This is the equivalent of going 'HEY - I know that you OFFICIALLY release information in both game and in your lore books square - but seeing as I have yet to see an image of the male, I'm going to say they don't exist, contrary to the information you've released.'

Like dude, just stop and think about what you're saying, your argument will stick more if you're just going to completely ignore the solid evidence that is contrary to what you're saying. All we don't know is the appearance other than Yoshida and Matsuno's (the creator of Vieras) description of them. The closest we have right now is an image that Matsuno commissioned.


Just for added solidity; have some information regarding a male Vii/Viera - technically the same thing.
