Honestly, as a whole doing things this expansion has been a treat. I think I had one tank who pulled without any real warning (He did die, but first dungeon of ShB and first time using changed SCH, so I was not used to it yet) but even then, no arguing, just kept on going. Even my first time in an Ex Primal in ages was relaxing even though we never cleared it.

So the trial at the end of ShB (no spoilers) isn't so hard if you learn the mechanics, which obviously i messed up a few times my first run through blind a couple of days ago. Then I did it yesterday and was worse at it. Worse again today by a lot. But I figured out a couple of things that were causing issues and focused with some deep breaths.

Everyone has different reactions based on their personalities and experiences, but if you sometimes panic or get frustrated with the instanced content, don't let it get too much into your head. You can get it eventually. Unless it's Bardem's Mettle. Then you can be forever panicked/mess up when it pops up. It's an official rule and everything

edit: well, tried taking my own advice, but wow as a healer once you goof you can really knock yourself off your game... back in i go!

Or the healer was still trying to figure their rotation and how to optimize. I'm not going to assume that someone is bad or lazy because they dont want big pulls. To me it shows more of an unsure of skill and uncertainty of the dungeoun in question. Some people are pretty gunshy when healing others not so much. But to outright denounce the healer as bad and lazy without knowing the situation is outright showing that you have no thought for others outside of yourself.

cant optimize in conditions youre rarely gonna be in going forward. unsure of skill, sure. but youre not gonna learn well with training wheels on full time.

Not really a duty finder, but a random hunt I did earlier today.

I came across Ulteki earlier while trying to level up an alt blm, and since my levequest was in the same exact area, I had to clear him out. I swapped to sch, popped my fairy and a few buffs, and went to work.

Out of the blue this random 45 blm comes up and starts attacking it. I check their name and realize they've got the road to 60 buff on them, making them new.

The amount of times this poor little blm died to off-aggro attacks made me cringe. They would not move out of aoes, they would get insta-gibbed by any attack, and I raised them a grand total of 6 times while I was soloing the mark. They did at least get credit for the mark when I got them back up one last time and the mark had just turned to cast another off-aggo aoe, and killed it before it could go off. The blm instantly leaves since apparently they were waiting on a queue, which left me wondering if they'll do the same sort of silliness to their dungeon party.

I will give them credit for trying and such, but dude, man. When you die two or more times to something that instakills you, you should probably rethink of your attack strategies against certain overworld targets.

We did the whole dungeon, I'm only getting hit by the un-avoidable aoe's, and we get to the last boss. He complains that I'm "too far away, and thus can't aoe heal." he then uses rescue on me into the other aoe's to get me killed, and says it's my fault.
Some people's kids.... I tell yah.
Then he vote kicks me at the last boss. And I have to re-que and do a whole dungeon again. Jerk.

Then he vote kicks me at the last boss. And I have to re-que and do a whole dungeon again. Jerk.

Just to verify. Were you too far away for AoE heals?

To be fair, if you were too far away to receive AOE healing for AOE party-wide damage, how is that the fault of the healer? AST AOE heals are 15 yalms. I don’t chase down ranged that stand 500 yalms away myself, so if you were standing too far away to receive AOE heals, that’s your own fault for not getting healed. Move in closer to the party.

I hope you learn to stand close to your healer someday. I wouldn’t have kicked you but I would’ve let you die a few times.

Learn to be better. There is absolutely no reason for ranged DPS to be out of aoe heal range. You were in the wrong.

Did a leveling roulette today and got Halatali normal.

Had one sprout and one Ninja passed level 30.
Neither of them knew to use the aether currents to get from place to place. I Lol'd pretty hard.
