It floors me that people get so obsessed with the fantasy/RP of their character. It's a small percentage of the playerbase and a completely insignificant percentage of the overall game. Is that really what you play this game for?

You're right, you're 100% right. I get the impression you're trying to argue against me by mimicking what I said, but you're somehow not doing a very good job of it.

When people say this I always wonder how they play. Like, do you angle the camera up or something? Because all I see of my character is his head and shoulders, or crouched over his mount...

I usually have it zoomed all the way out in combat because I'm not bad and usually keep an eye on the entire area (no matter what role I'm playing), not my character's ass. And when not in combat, I'm usually looking at where I'm going. Again, not at my character's ass, because then I wouldn't see where to go.

Playing zoomed in all the way the entire time will undoubtedly get you in some amount of trouble, you may want to reconsider that.

Some of us would like our characters to look attractive to us rather than just something on the screen or a power fantasy or other some such avatar. You're misrepresenting people if you think we just have a giant butt on our screen all day. Sure when I fight and need to pay attention I have it zoomed out for a full view of the battle. But in a cutscene or RP-ing around it's nice to have every aspect of your character be something you enjoy. If I take a substantial amount of gil and time crafting and sourcing an outfit, sometimes it's a little disappointing when it looks a little unflattering in the back, especially when most of what I look at during the game is from behind.

Relax a little and understand that different people look for different aspects of character customization and overall aesthetics can include butts.

not really arguing against you (as I dont know what you're into), just pointing out that it's just like, your opinion, man. people care about radically different things in this game and pointing it out seems like a moot point.
