I don't understand. Does this mean that for the first dungeon we lose access to the Viera and Crystal Exarch that were shown in the French leaked image and have no way to run the dungeon with them again? It seemed like they are important for that part of the story and that if other characters aren't available at that point, I don't see how we could take them in. Thancred, Y'shtola, Urianger, and Minfillia seem like they are unlocked much later on.

I thought this was a pretty weird choice, especially since it's possible to not run the first dungeon with the Exarch or Lyna while leveling, and then permanently miss out on using them later.
