I see. That was a part I didn't know/remember.You're right for the most part; however, those of us that pre-ordered ShB for the added perk of getting Stormblood are stuck waiting until the key is distributed for access to the Stormblood content (as early-access did not apply the prior expansion keys to your FF account).
While I'm not foaming at the mouth, it's definitely a little suspect that a first-party can't handle day one fulfillment. Here's hoping that the bottleneck gets cleared and the keys start rolling.
That is a valid reason to get upset about, since that locks one out of content. Good Point.
Yep. I need the key to unlock Stormblood and buy the tales of adventure to skip it. Mogstation doesnt allow it until I unlock it first.
I was able to buy the MSQ skip and level boost to 70 and apply them to my character with only the SB early access key, i've been playing since 29th. I only have ARR + SB early access. I haven't gotten the key for SB yet.
There's also the valid point regarding the fact that some, many of whom have probably paid for the expansion months in advance yet are being forced to wait. Amazon doesn't charge you until the day they give out the codes, yet they got theirs out first, same with all other companies who take pre orders except SE store.
For the SE store, they take your money in full, I paid 3/1/2019 that money is gone. Now I wouldn't say im "foaming at the mouth" but it is bothersome that they would treat people who've already paid like this. To be fair this isn't them intentionally being mean, just painfully incompetent.
Honestly if I had money just laying around I'd cancel my order and buy on amazon right now, they can't exactly void my pre order code which has already been used, but I'm not so rich so I'll just have to wait.
Honestly, I don't find that a valid reason. As like I've said, it doesn't change the way you play your game. Unless you wanna unlock SB like others mentioned could be a possibility. There's also the valid point regarding the fact that some, many of whom have probably paid for the expansion months in advance yet are being forced to wait. I've pre-ordered aswell and been waiting till 9:30pm before the code arrived.
But before that I knew that even with the code my gameplay won't change and I can just happily play while waiting, and/or do other stuff aswell.
I don't see the logic in "they got it before me and that's unfair".
That also bring me back to what I said at first, that perhaps people are upset they couldn't be amongst the first to flash the collector items and have their moment in the spotlight.
Finally got my CE Key for EU Server. There was no Email, went to check again my order on SE Store.
I directly received my CE key. Not a key to activate another key, like it was with early access.
No one said anything about fairness. Tell you what, next time you buy a car how about they make you stand in line for a day after you've paid.Honestly, I don't find that a valid reason. It's the principle of the thing. As a business owner, I wouldn't expect to stay in business very long if I took customers money and then failed to deliver on the goods an unreasonably long period of time.
Clearly everyone will get their key that they paid for, that doesn't make this right. It's gross incompetence. Nothing more, nothing less. And people have a right to complain about it.
Your white knighting is pathetic dude. The exact same argument could be made for your comments that you're directing at others. People complaining is neither your business nor concern. Butt out.

And sure, it would probably have a date on when it would be done and delivered. But what sais something won't happen that would drag out that time a day or two.
Have you ever ordered food and they told you it would be done in 10 mintures (or something) but it gets done later or even sooner than what they said?
I wonder if you rage when your pizza (or whatever) is a bit later than what they said.
I am not trying to white knighting anything here. I'm just expressing my thoughts on people getting angry over a code not being set at the strike of the 2nd.
When infact it doesn't change anything wether the code is registred or not (yet again, unless you need it to unlock SB etc).
How much did it corrupt the pre-release gameplay not having the code?
And yes, you are right. Whatever people think or do is not my business. But this is a forum. And everyone on this thread is expressing their feelings on this matter. I simply did the same. I just didn't share the same disappointment as others did. And since I didn't and questioned it I got singled out, by you for one.
Is that your business on what I think and how I express myself? Not really. So as your own words, "Butt out", "dude".
Except the game is finished and many people already have their codes. This is well and truly unacceptable. There is absolutely no reason everyone that has bought had paid for the game to not have their code.If I pre-ordered a car it means it's not yet manifactured, which means it will take time.

It is true that even I thought the codes would be sent out closer to the strike of the 2nd.
Since it's electronic and should be set to automaticly distribute keys, depending on timezones ofc.
But I also know that very little is perfect and I do expect things to not go as one might think it should.
It's sad, depending on what it is.
But over a game, which hold little value when it all comes together, eh.. I don't see the need to get mad over it.
