Without spoiling anything, the Healer Role Quests directly address Lamimi's non-dwarvy proclivities, along with many of the other things discussed in this thread. While I haven't completed those role quests just yet...

Ardbert and his crew are widely vilified on the First, and considered the instigators of the Flood of Light. None of them are alive; they all died a century ago. Ardbert is present in the storyline as a ghost, and the others show up in the Role Quests somehow transformed into an unusual variety of Sin Eater. Even aside from being vilified in general, Lamimi is particularly reviled by other Dwarves for taking a big, fat dump on Dwarven tradition by parading around helmetless and bare-faced.
