Have you been inide your house, or jsut logged in ? you have to enter your house to reset the timer, and stay for few minutes.
Yes I went inside it since I know you have to enter it to count. I wasn't aware that they had stopped the auto-demo at any point, I continued to treat it as if it were still there and didn't give the game much of a reason to flag my place. I've yet to actually talk to a GM about this, only getting automated messages in the game so far that seem to be missing the point. But as someone else pointed out there's probably nothing a GM can do anyways since the house is gone and the land taken by someone else. I can take some comfort in having gotten back all the furnishings and a fair reimbursement from the caretaker npc but it should never have happened in the first place. I loved that home, it was the last house in all of Shirogane that wasn't already occupied in the first 3 mins of Shirogane opening and was in the same ward as my old FC friends. Now I got no house and several retainers stuffed with furnishings since there's no more empty plots in all of Phoenix. I've been unfairly robbed off my creation and extra content because of a game bug and because SE can't write emails that don't come across as spam. Like how am I supposed to be prepared for something like that when I'm not expecting it and there's no way of me knowing without wading through dozens of spam mail every day.

Gaius van Baelsar: Nor is this unknown to your masters. Which prompts the question: what came first, the chicken or the egg?
A lot of players buy small houses as placeholders for a Medium or Large, as it's basically the only way to purchase these plots (via relocation) on active worlds. The small house basically serves no purpose at all other than a relocation enabler.
You can blame SE's decision on this to make a limited number of medium and large houses with no other means to upgrade small houses to large. If there was an upgrade option this would solve a lot of issues, but the plots are positioned in such a ways that you couldn't possibly upgrade them to a bigger model as they wouldn't fit.

I don't understand how you can lose your house.
I'm go in every day, multiple times a day. I usually go to check on my retainers rather than a city. No crowded Retainer Bell with people standing on top of it making it hard to use.
I usually also like to craft inside my house, again it's quieter. MB is right outside by my residence too.
It sucks if you lost it to a bug though.
Those are some of the reasons why I'm so mortified at losing my home. Mine also was right next to a market board. It was the last house in all of Shirogane within 3 mins of the wards opening and was in the same ward as my friends and FC at the time. Plus as you said it was great escape from the noisy crowds, people standing right on top of the retainer bell, and a relief to get away from bards practicing their music (there's no escaping them, they're everywhere!) And my garden was open to my friends in the old FC too so if they needed more plots to grow crops they could come over and use my garden providing I wasn't already using it already. I loved that house. This is not just an inconvenience to me but also to my friends who I was sharing the house with.I'm go in every day, multiple times a day. Firstly, let me say I'm sorry for your (housing) loss. Everyone deserves a house and in my opinion you don't have to spent every waking hour in it to be "qualified" to have one. Especially if it is a house you are fond of because of the location (close to friends, MB and FC).
Then again even if you contact a GM or SE directly (via mail) I don't think there is much they can do. Did you already claimed the money from the housing ward? Because if you don't do this soon it will be lost - same goes for furniture.
SE won't be able to kick out the person who bought the house, because they didn't do anything wrong. They saw a open spot and claimed it. Best chances for you are to buy a small on in, say, Goblets and move as soon as a plot pops in Shirogane. If - at some point - new housing is released (still hoping for Ishgard <3) then maybe you can snag off a plot close to your friends and FC again.
Once again - Sorry that you are victim of a bug (if what you are describe is correct) and I hope you can resolve this somehow.
Every time someone brings this up, its a combination of these
A: Didn't even own the house to begin with.
B: Claim they entered their house despite being unable to prove it.
C: Blames the (lack of) emails.
D: Never posts conversations with Game Moderators.
Funny how this "bug"never affects FC houses...
