Tanks, you have no idea of the DPS' capabilities, no idea if the healer is even familiar with the dungeon, and 99% of the time your gear isn't particularly good and you're as squishy as a sponge. IT'S NOT JUST UP TO YOU.

Unpopular opinion here, but I when I tank, I tank for me not you. So yes it is 100% up to me. I will of course adjust (begrudgingly) if the party isnt capable of doing it, but small pulls are so boring and I'm not going to put myself through that of I don't have to.

I usually start off pulling one pack at a time and sometimes the healer will say "you can pull more if you want" and then I pull more. If the healer doesn't say anything, I just go one pack at a time.

As a tank, it is actually up to me. I will pull wall to wall, 9/10 healers i've been with so far easily handled it. Yes, even the brand new SHB content and us being squishy, 9/10 healers I've been with easily handled it.

If the 1/10 can't, then I will simply pull one pack at a time.

I have pulled wall to wall and haven't had any issues as a GNB and I'm level 80 now gonna do the lvl 80 dungeons later today. For people saying GNB or tanks in general are squishy they're just not using their CDs effectively, Heart of Stone and Raw Intuition are super strong and on demand CDs also, I know this is weird but Arms Length adds slow to enemies for 12 seconds in dungeons dont take that for granted.

On a DF related story did the lvl 77 dungeon last night in 13 mins with an excellent group things melted and the healer was amazed at how fast and little damage I was taking, said I was the less squishiest GNB they've healed all xpac thus far.

I think once people get used to their new kit they'll realize tanks aren't squishy.

A healer that's struggling to keep me alive, sure, but a healer like that? That rather sit on his thumbs than do dps and help the damn thing be over faster? No way lol.

Tanks should be rotating cooldowns not blowing them all right off the bat as you suggest here. What do you think happens after their cooldowns drop and the mob pack is still alive? Now you have nothing. It's far better to activate them one at a time so you are reduce the amount of time in which you have no active mitigation up. Tanks don't have endless mitigation tools especially now in shadowbringers. Heck Paladin really only has rampart and sentinel these days until the enhanced shelltron trait kicks in. That's just for trash pulls of course. For bosses every cooldown is reserved exclusively for planned damage like tank busters

As a paladin you can always pull really big, then use hallowed ground, then after that sentinel for 20s of very little damage at all, but hallowed is on a really long cooldown and now might not be up if you really need it. A little disappointed with Pal's mitigation to be honest.

Hope you don't get me for your healer then. I do not DPS in dungeons/raids. I am there to keep the party alive and that is it, I am a healer not a DPS. I have my dancer for then I want to DPS.

I’d prefer someone who doesn’t stand around idle for 80% of the content, if I’m being honest. I prefer equal contribution from all party members. I’m expected to be 100% active, so I expect that of the people I party with in return.

Tanks most definitely feel squishier, but the Gunnies seem the squishiest so far. My DPS time has plummetted greatly after the changes and I think I've ate more Fairies for Aetherflow in the past two days than I've done during the lifetime of this character.

I’ve been running with a friend on GNB, and the only healing issues we’ve had through the ShB leveling is with healers that insist on spamming Cure I/Benefic I/Physick without using anything else—they’ve all been healers with decent at-level or higher gear on top of that as well. I don’t think he’s particularly squishy, and he actively rotates both his CDs and GNB’s regen as often as possible.
