Look at Machinist.

I doubt it - it seems to be more trouble than it's worth.
What they could do with it is turn it into some sort of Pokemon-lite collection thing that players can solo in the field. Bringing it out later in the xpac to get people back into the world again.
Personally I didn't mind the idea of limited jobs but unfortunately they were just that - limited to a weeks worth of (extremely frustrating) content that relied on RNG (which I don't usually mind, but this was overkill) and herding people through content, only for them to usually reaffirm that people are selfish and hateful.
Apart from that it was a fun distraction for, well, a week.

That's a lot of fluff they'd have to get rid of, and some mechanics to adjust...but I'd seriously love to see it. As long as Level 5 Death is their ultimate spell, that does damage if the enemy is not Level 5 or immune to death. You know, pull a FFXIII Death.
It's really a shame, they could really shine here in Shadowbringers due to the constant FATE grinding we have to do for the gem traders.I doubt it - it seems to be more trouble than it's worth.
