They will probably crash and burn just like they did in our early access. Only... we wont get the 2,000 player wait it would be closer to 10,000.
Dude, my player join date literally says 2012. I've literally been playing this game 5 years before your account was even created.

There is another factor, which has been overlooked in this discussion. SE penchant desire to allow for oversubscription to the servers. Gilgamesh and Balmung (more so in the past) have constantly been allowed to have too many people registered on the server beyond the server's capacity to serve that many people.
Think of SE like an airline that consistently oversells its flights. Yes, SE did provide a brief window during which people were allowed to change to a new server free of cost. Unfortunately, many, many, many players returned to the game after that window ended and yet still before the SB2 launch. This increase in population has pushed the server beyond it's capacity. The real fix is to offer people the transfer window closer to the launch period. Thus, providing a much larger population with the option.
The world transfer service has not helped matters, as wanderers are consuming space on the server and denying access to homeworld players. Yes, wanderer priority is lower when attempting to transfer to the server but nothing is done about them once they are on the server.
OP, as a fellow player suffering from these awful queue times the best advice I can give is, adjust your life schedule as much as possible. I start the login process at 7:30 pm EST and hope to be on the game within 2 hours. I have also started waking up an hour early in the morning when the server load is very small and there are no login queue times.
See like, i know i COULD but the real answer to the situation is that nobody should ever HAVE to do that. There is another factor, which has been overlooked in this discussion. Then move off of the highly over crowded data center. SE's NOT going to add more servers while Crystal is mostly empty. They're just going to tell you the server is at capacity, MOVE. Just like WoW did every time Moon Guard ended up over crowded. They handed out free transfers to go to a lower pop server. SE's doing the SAME THING. They locked the servers that are at capacity, point out the ones that NEED people and give you FREE stuff for moving. It's not THEIR fault if players don't GO. Or would you prefer SE walk in and start moving people for you?
They are ONLY going to add a new server once Crystal has no more preferred worlds. So there's no point in complaining about a queue issue that is on the players to fix.
No more cast bars for Bard! Thank you, Yoshi-P! All hail our lord and savior!
Not at all, suggest a solution that isn't move to a almost as crowded server, or you know.. literally anything at this point and we might have something to go on.
Right now, I see literally 0 proposed solutions and all the more reason for people like you to just accept your paying your subscription fee for no reason.
Who in their right mind would wait until literally ALL of their servers are at absolute maximum capacity finally decide to buy a new server. Then move off of the highly over crowded data center. Thats like waiting until your hard drive\ solid state drive to be 100% maximum and being like welp i guess i should buy a new one....
Smart people would have seen you were at 90% capacity and already had more then enough ready to go ahead of time before you got to 80.
That is how a good professional server is ran. You don't wait until you are at MAX capacity to increase your VM cluster.
its literally 2 post above you.Not at all, suggest a solution that isn't move to a almost as crowded server, or you know.. literally anything at this point and we might have something to go on.
