I think the Lyhe Ghiah castle in Il Mheg is the same structure as Antitower. They look a bit different but they're located in the same geographical location on their respective worlds. Also, there's leitmotifs in Il Mheg's theme that is similar to the Antitower.

Isn't that location and the geography a closer match for the spire upon which Ishgard sits? In a world like the First that has not been repeatedly reshaped by multiple Clamities, Il Mheg is probably closer to how the lands the Source know as Coerthas was.

About you question re: Lightwardens and what makes their essence special as opposed to the High Voidsent (ostendibly an analog), is it maybe down to the fact that we were confronting the Sin Eaters in thier home shard? All the voidsent we've encountered have been in the Source. Possibly their aetherial signature is less resiliant away from home base?
