Wow, what?! I think that's bull, honestly. I was expecting it to be earned through the MSQs like the Yol, Black Chocobo, etc., especially with how they've been teasing us with them throughout the story, so it's kind of frustrating to see it locked behind such a requirement.
Well I got all my DoW/DoM classes to 70 before so it doesn't mean I can't get them to 80 now, but still... sheesh.

I had just assumed you do all the quests for the Amaro flock and you get the mount, but if I have to make and level ALL the DOW/DOM classes, then I just won't have one. (I only play NIN, and some crafting and gathering)

I doubt I could make enough Armory space to hold gear for all jobs. It's bad enough with just the DPS and crafting/gathering ones.

I would have gone through 100+ hours of Amaro flock questing an rep gathering to get one, but I will NOT level jobs I don't want to play, which is all but one.

My black chocobo gets me where I need to go..

If I wanted to work for a mount I'd use a real life job to buy a damn horse. There's work and then there's a chore. I don't mind putting a bit of work into something to earn it, but it should be enjoyable. I don't want to level jobs I've never even leveled past 10 just to get a mount and never play that job again. That's just tedious.

Plus, there's plenty of content already in the game that requires a considerable amount of work already. I think you're forgetting about those things.

I mean I don't think anyone is suggesting nothing to be had at the level 80 DoW/DoM achievement (actually specifically talking about myself I wanted to enhance that reward lol).

If you're just talking about in general.. Less rewards given out as you play (like no Yol, no Magitek Walker, no glamour set for just doing some MSQ). Then I'd just say I don't want to play that game. There must be things that are harder to get, I agree fully, but I'm too old or "gaming lazy" to want to play another FFXI where nearly everything is that way (somethings being the exception/being that way is good though~!)- at least at this point in my life. So I absolutely want somethings handed to me on a beautiful silver plate lol.

Besides to me I don't see the MSQ mounts as "unearned" as you had to spend many hours to get them still (ignoring some of the ARR grind it's actually many good hours (not a bad grind) but still doing something to earn something, MSQ rewards are not unearned imo).

I of course do want to have some challenges, some I'll take some I wont (I don't intend to do any ultimate fights lol) and as example of what I said previously I do think they should get a nice reward at the DoW/DoM but I also think a MSQ Amaro would be incredibly fitting and the fact it's not in MSQ is a bit amiss (or something along those veins).

An amaro is not worth leveling a class I do not enjoy nor can play at any level of a decent level. Least of which all of them. If it were a reward from doing, like, all 4 5.0 role quests and that last completion thing? Sure. But every combat job???

It's pretty weird too since the previous entries were crowns. Pretty fancy ones too.So it's very weird that they suddenly switch to a mount, and not even a regal looking one at that.

Also ironic since the Benchmark where 7 players on Amaro were following a player on a Grani mount. Realistically speaking it's be 7 Grani following a Amaro amount around. Which is off for me considering it's very common creature otherwise. If I were to make a mount for level 80 for all classes I would have it be a crystal or something more impressive than a mount we can get a taxi ride on.

If they want to have a level 80 mount that's fine, but have it be cooler than the Amaro, at least on par with the Grani mount. Honestly if the two were switched I don't think people would be as confused or conflicted. Makes sense because the Grani looks epic as hell,Where while they are cool mounts, Amaros aren't nearly on the same level. That's how I feel on the matter.

I'm going to level all the jobs regardless but it's cheap that we don't get any mounts through the regular story.
