Amaro should of been MSQ. Leveling up all jobs would be better suited to a less common mount in the firsts lore. Im pissed.

They probably should have, yeah. I'm half expecting them to change the achievement though to require only one of each role. Wouldn't be the first time they altered an achievement or 2 like that. To be honest that would be the only way they could get me to suffer through leveling a healer.

It 100% should have been an MSQ achievment mount. Doesn't make any sense that they would promote it so heavily in the trailer, benchmark, EVERY AREA and storyline and then not give it to you at the end. Especially since we've gotten a msq completion mount in every other expansion. That being said, since the Amaro is special, i think it should be one of each role to 80. Leveling each job to 80 is outlandish and unobtainable for a lot of people.

Not everyone plays tank, a lot of people don't heal and there are even people who literally only play a single job their entire career in the game. By giving them a reason to level and experience just one of the other roles to 80 I think it would give people a nice little incentive to try something new. Every job to 80... wow. There should have been a different mount unrelated to the msq that was a SUPER SPECIAL "YOU DID IT" reward.

Not to mention, It feels wrong to get a Amaro without any sort of story behind it. Just feels wrong to not have any story related to it.

For someone who doesn't play melee classes, yeah, it's very hard to get.

You can just do Leveling & MSQ roulettes every day and you will get a level every 2-3 days on a class. Just do that and over time you will have everything to 80. Just make sure to update your gear for leveling roulettes so you're not a drag on the group if you get a high level dungeon. Vendors sell everything you need.

I don't enjoy most melee classes either but I also hate BLM and SMN but I still got everything to 70 over time.

Amaro seems easy to obtain in comparison to another new mount, the Triceratops. Just like the Centurio Tiger that takes quite some work to unlock, even more so than Astrophe. You'll be fine OP, set yourself a challenge to gradually unlock the Amaro, it could be much worse.

Or a sidequest. You help the Il Mheg flock take care of an egg, and the amaro watching over it laments that the hatchling will never know the kindness of mankind. That seems like it would've been perfect.

Just because it's easy by comparison to other harder to obtain mounts doesn't make it easy. A good many people probably won't bother with any of those, including the Amaro, at least beyond passive progress. I know I won't. I think it was a poor decision to lock it behind this achievement...but if that is how they want it, I believe the achievement should be trimmed considerably.

I don't mind that it is achievement locked behind all the combat classes. And I don't think we are guaranteed a Mount throughout the MSQ just because we got one in the last expansions. I'm pretty sure there will be several Mounts obtainable from quests and beast tribes. So being salty now, two days after an Expansion released, because ONE Mount is now achievement locked, is in my opinion a bit questionable. Give it time. There will be plenty of other Mounts - probably more shiny and easier to get.

I'd wish for a crafter / gatherer Mount and still haven't got one until today. But I'm not Feeling left behind "just because" combat class get theirs.
