I took preorder / early access, and there appears to be plenty of players ou in the new zones. Will there be many more arriving on July 2nd, or did most players take EA?

There will definitely be more on Tuesday. Either people that didn't have time for early access or people who didn't get their code for some reason (like myself) or for other reasons.
I still haven't been able to buy the game, nor have I been able to get a response from SE as to WHY I can't buy the game.
I'm hoping to be there sooner or later.
Usually...no. There are some people who arrive on the actual launch day for various reasons (like the last two replies who weren't able to get it set up), but by and large everyone playing in new areas during "Early Access" is it.
Because it's an expansion to an MMO, the vast majority of people getting it at all are people who already play the game and are ready for the expansion, thus have it pre-ordered. Most traditional stores won't even have it for sale on that day because it's an MMO expansion, and so the primary method of even getting it is to pre-order; meaning even people not ready for the story who are re-joining for the new races or jobs generally had to pre-order.
There will be some, but it will not be a significant difference, and usually it's actually less people logging in by virtue of it being a weekday.
I disagree, traditional stores around me always get it in. So yes, you will see more people launch day. Esp here in the states, many may have been like me and just took most of next week off and largely ignored EA on friday onward given the holiday on Thursday.Because it's an expansion to an MMO, the vast majority of people getting it at all are people who already play the game and are ready for the expansion, thus have it pre-ordered. "Within each of us, the potential for great power waits to be released."
I've had to work 12s all weekend. Won't be able to actually play till Monday morning. Argh M.E.T. dang you!
The vast majority will have had early access, so not much more, but there will be some who can't get on until 2nd.
This was the first time I've pre-ordered a game in years given how badly I've been lied to by video game companies, so I would not be surprised if other players are waiting for the early access reviews to commit to buying Shadowbringers.
If you hate the server queues now just wait till Tuesday, its going to suck.
Nah, most people are already in.
Think it's only physical copies that are coming in on Tuesday, and really, who waits for those these days?
