5.0 Scholar is horrible

Exactly. My brother today played SCH and we did some DRs. After an Alliance Raid and a DG he felt like wanting to stop. He didn't stop because of us(my other brother and me) and wanting to test the other healers.
We didn't play since ARR, we sadly only played since SB but he fell in love the first time he saw SCH. His favorite skills were: Energy Drain, Miasma and the fairy. And now all is gone. Managing the fairy is gone, she is just a heal bot turret and even vanishes sometimes which he doesn't notice because of the party frame.

Yes, he wanted the same today. Spamming over 90% of the time Broil in an Alliance Raid was just horrible. Playing a Trial, DGs etc was just worse. He just instant heals, and then Broil or AoW spam(which feels just horrible and boring).

SE needs to save SCH and reverse so many changes. The fairy should be a pet again and not this and the DPS kit should be brought back. It is just a piece of horrible ideas or not even ideas from the devs. I do not even see any creative ideas they had with SCH, all they did was cutting and killing the SCH. Even if some people say you heal a bit more, this depends on the tank, some other people say this is not the case they still dpsed all the time and my brother even felt it. And even if you had to heal, you can't control the fairy anymore, you almost always just instant heal or you don't have Aetherflow because out of fight before the pull which feels clunky.

He said that overall SCH feels unfinished and unplayable for him.

I haven't even been able to bring myself to even play. I logged in after maintenance and looked at my hotbars and just felt so upset that I logged out and can't even play.

I've been a sch main since 2.0 it was my first class. It's the only thing I have at 70 and I can't even. Can they please just revert us back to how we were before the expansion? I don't care if I have shit healing. I can make do. If I was panicking healing my tank I just spammed embrace and adlo/physick at the same time.

I miss Selene's abilities. I always used her. I don't even care if we got NO new abilities if we can just go back the way we were before. in 2.0 being a sch was difficult, but I still loved it. I've never done any savage content so I don't know what the top tier raiding was like.. but sch was my identity in this game. and now its dead. When I can bring myself to log on again I'm going to abandon healing unless they fix sch. I'll just switch to smn. or go dancer.

YoshiP... why do you hate your healers? Stop trying to make the game like WoW. I left WoW for this game because it was BETTER! don't throw us in the trash like WoW has become.

I'd do anything for 2.X SCH we were amazing at single target HPS and felt like a true hybrid like SCH's roots of being able to use white and black magicks, it was the Red Mage until Red Mage came out. I miss it so much lol

The biggest issue with the new scholar design is that it's just boring. They took away all the toys and gave us nothing to compensate. "They're making dungeons harder so you won't have as much time to DPS!" Not in my experience with the new dungeons. Admittedly I've only done a couple so far, but I still spent the vast majority of the time DPSing and have cast zero Physicks.

Random issues:
Give us back Energy Drain. Not specifically for the DPS, but so that we have something, anything to spend extra Aetherflow stacks on besides Lustrate. I am constantly sitting on stacks and forced to either blow them on pointless Lustrates, or waste them by hitting Aetherflow anyway (and losing potential faerie gauge.)

Let us use Aetherflow out of combat. I mean, come on. Really?

Change faerie buff icons to have the green "buff I cast" timer instead of the white "buff someone else cast" timer. That's always been kind of stupid.
