When I tried to set custom refresh rate it gave me warning that it can damage my laptop and it will void warranty. I would be willing to try it on an old laptop, but certainly not willing to do it on my pretty much brand new expensive laptop.

I assume that with the official launch, there will be even more people experiencing this issue, maybe then they will actually do something about it.

You're very unlikely to damage your screen by underclocking it, but the point still stands: a voided warranty is a voided warranty. We shouldn't have to do this to play the game. SQe should have fixed this already. Heck, they should have just never implemented the framerate cap to begin with! Even if they'd done it properly it would still have been a crappy decision!
