Lots of worries about this, and I have to admit I don't have their (DDOS-ers) mindset so maybe it would cause more issues. When I made the thread I really didn't think so (felt like if they were going to do it they were going to do it either way, minor bonus irrelevant), but seems like lots of people do so eh perhaps it really shouldn't be done then. . . That would be a problem of course.

I obviously DO NOT want more DDOS lol.

Was just trying to have a way to encourage people to take a break when things started going south (due to DDOS and even other random server issues, wasn't about early access really).

Made me disappointed that you judged me based on my server :/. . .

Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad idea initially, but people will DDoS for the stupidest reasons. I have seen people DDoS for basic stuff in WoW, like they got banned and so decided to DDoS. I wouldn't be at all surprised if this DDoS is because of a lame reason like no Male Viera/Female Hrothgar (not saying it is, just wouldn't surprise me.)

My reply wasn't so much that people would DDoS just for the rewards, but it would reward them since the DDoS doesn't work like a login so that person who normally plays would get the reward since it would show they never tried to log in during the DDoS, get it?

Oh yeah, I gotcha . I had wrote this in-between being kicked out of the server and trying to log in, walking down stairs and getting a snack and cleaning up, and then logging back in without much issue - and was then reading some side posts upset about the ordeal while waiting for a FATE and thought "maybe things would go better if we just took a break, less stressful than staring at a screen trying to confirm entry".

It was mostly a quick concept based on good intentions but sometimes that can make things worse. There are somethings I'm probably far more difficult to be deterred from- like I really want a morphing job, and I argued to the depths of the Styx for Summoners to get bigger more grandiose egi (we then got Demi-Egi, so hype / yay lol), but this system is not my child that I'll care to fight for lol.

Just wanted to see what people thought about it, and not much is what people think about it haha.. Tis a dead one I guess lol. I mean.. I'd be for it more if I knew it would work, but I really don't.. just a "might be.." and if it doesn't it could hurt instead which is bad obviously . I'm easily persuaded on this particular thread.
