    My laptop monitor is set to 120Hz refresh rate and there does not seem to be a way to change it...so I am still stuck.

    Do you have NVIDIA? If so, go to NVIDIA Settings>Change Resolution>Customize>Create Custom Resolution>Set Refresh rate to 90 Hz.

    I do have NVIDIA, but these options you mention are not there for me.

    Same I have RTX 2060 and right clicking desktop - Nvidia control panel i dont get an option to change anything
