I hope as few as possible, but I'm 100% certain there are people here willing to pay $9.99 a month in e-penis maintenance fees.
I mean, it's not that far from logging into a game you don't play once a month just to keep on posting.
Tough call for me.
I want to see this game manage to pull itself back up from the lump of sh*t it was at the start. However, between having nothing to do and the only way to get stuff done is with arrow/manaburns I really can't find myself enjoying the game half the time.

I'll be staying, for what...around 6 pounds 89 sterling, I think I can afford it on a month by month basis, considering I'm also playing World of Warcraft and the Old Republic.
I also enjoy my time in this game - while Old Republic is already starting to bore me, same as Rift did within the first few weeks, and see it improve massively every patch. Saying that, I play so many games that I never really burn out in the same way some folks do - I've been to Toto-Rak once and never to Darkhold, Ifrit (Hard) or Moggle, so I still have all that to look forward too, but for the moment I just enjoy playing and comboing monsters to death.
Much as folks may dislike the launch, this game with the larger focus on parties and actually being part of a community, from fighting to crafting, is what people all over the various gaming forums I visit ask for all the time. If they can deliver in 2.0, then this game will do really well for itself - the ability to play solo and have a more modern UI, but with the more traditional style of MMO gameplay.

the fact is, they already know allot of people will pay. They dont care if 75% of the people leave. that's still 25% that will pay. they will merge servers so there will be less server upkeep and make some money when before they were making none. Its pretty simple.
I knew you had an agenda to bash me in that other thread, haha. I wonder why that is... I'm sure there's no personal bias involved.
Other than Jobs coming not much is going to change before 2.0 at which point we'll be able to try it for free anyway.
