Make gender locked items in Mog Station tradeable for their equivalent item

and second it grinds my gears usually when threads are started saying "i should have "x" or "this or that" for free - let's start a petition". if the system were completely broken sure. but it's not. it's in a great place imo actually. if less people were buying into the mogstation we never would have an EU data center. do you want to potentially stop the building of an Oceanic/SEA data center too? that's just one extreme example but it's still the case.

Would allowing an item to be swapped really put an end to purchases on the MogStation? Not likely. I'd simply like to use an item I can no longer use by trading in the skirt for pants. XD


That being said, I get the point, but I probably won't go out of my way to buy gender-locked gear now that I know it isn't exchangable either, which means less purchases long term from me. Just my 2c. Can't predict if I may wanna change to female again

Well, following your reasoning, do you want me to pay for the Oceanic datacenter too? Should they have it for free? Of course this is irony, but you keep ignoring the fact that I've said I'm not asking for a refund or a trade for items which do not have a counterpart, as well as the fact I've actually spent money for those data centers you worry about. Which can be paid with, I don't know, subscription money? To make things clear for the last time: I DO NOT want a refund. I think players should have the possibility to trade the gear they bought with REAL MONEY into USABLE one because they changed gender using REAL MONEY IF there is an alternative gender for a certain set of gear. They would keep the money people spent on the set in the first place and you can see people say in this thread say this issue is preventing them from spending money on Fantasia to change gender.

Sorry if I sound a bit upset, but it seems you are just complaining for the sake of it. It seems as if you were ignoring reasoning and what I've mentioned time and again just because this would be a beneficial feature that wouldn't affect you and that you wouldn't be able to enjoy.

Also stuff at the calamity salvager is tied to achievements, and since there is no achievement for buying gear from the mogstation the game does not "know" that you have it, and warns you against discarding it. they would need to create a system to track such things and currently this does not exist.

Achievement check is only used for gears you want to rebuy from the NPC. If you want to switch a fem. only gear to male only gear (like Lightning set) you only have to give him the gear and get the other gear. That you have one gender version of it is enough for an check.

Scanning through the Mogstation, it looks like most genderlocked outfits are released in clear matching pairs, except for the outfits that belong to specific characters (and I think it's fair if those remain unexchangeable).

For the rest, yeah, I would definitely like to be able to exchange outfits in the future. I like to Fantasia every now and then, but losing access to a lot of my purchases is definitely a consideration that's holding me back from doing it too much.

Do you really think its great that seemingly we only got the necessary EU datacenter because of the cash shop? Maybe instead of being cheap with their cash cow, SE should invest more into this and dont need a cash shop in a paid MMO to do the basics..but I really dont believe that PR speech anyway.

In the end the person that has such an outfit already paid money and suddenly cant use it anymore. Seeing how a lot of stuff is already single character only it should really not be too much to at least let them change it if they change their gender. This may even further encourage people to spend money because they know that they will always be able to use it. If you restrict it too much then some might simply say: Well then you wont get my money (which you can already see with outfits not being dyeable and people saying that they wont buy it because of that reason).

most likely the exception would be character gear sure Snow and Lightning gear are interchangeable
but stuff for Like Aymeric and Edda gear? dont think so

if they did implement it they would be in sets
like prince/princess attire and the many eastern sets

You are right. Not all of them are in sets, which were the focus of my petition. I understand there is no equivalent with Edda's, Aymeric's or the Scions' ones and there is no system like the swimsuit or the Lightning/Snow one implemented in the game, so that wasn't the issue. However, to have a solution for that, we would need to have every piece of gear in the game to be unisex, which is a different matter.

I'm sure Yoshi would say "But it requires work" but at the same time, what about those who spent money on the glam and the race potion? Money to buy those required work. Generally the items are available to either male/female. Both should be made available to the character from the start. I know it doesn't sell more glams that way but it's at least a means to show respect to the players like myself buying these overpriced mogstation items. I've seen dresses sell for much less than those on the mogstation. @___@

IMO they need to remove the mogstation and increase the base monthly price by a dollar to make up for loss sales. Make all mogstation items available inside the game somehow in a fun, meaningful way. I don't know what they would have to do for those whom have previously purchased said items though. Base game + DLC + monthly subscription should be enough. Ugh! I hate EA! They brought doom upon us all :/
