Discussing & following the game is more interesting than actually playing it. Because it is bad, but what they're attempting to do is fascinating.
Also seeing the people I've 'hurt' before with comments that hit closer to the mark than they'd ever be willing to admit get all upset about me is also fun to watch.
Having watched my friends play on their PSP's and seeing video of Monster Hunter Frontier Online, I still stand by my statement that they do resemble one another, albeit Phantasy Star Online's gameplay is much more primitive.
Watching someone play doesn't mean anything, he's completely right in saying the two games are completely different and PSO is in no way more "primitive" than monster hunter. It's simply more based on stats and classic rpg fair compared to MH which is more gear and skill/action oriented.
They're pretty much nothing alike with the exception that you move a dude around with the analog stick.

This is why I wanna slit my wrists every time I see a game/level designer watch a youtube video of a game. It's like reading a book to learn how to dance.
Major works: "Final Fantasy XIV" "Dragon Quest Monster Battle Road"
Among the questions the game was released in the year 1:2011 ■, we were most impressed (or shocked) Title
"The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim"
Good and studded everywhere, including many of the building. Reality of the streets with a high degree of reproducibility.
Adventure and every detail involved in a limited world, and to admire the overwhelming presence as a game.
Where we'll be learning, where we'll be helpful, and the "shame" is where many think.
I also aspire to develop future games and game play seems to want us leave.
And a high threshold, but the premise will play for a long time .... What is it, as long as 18 years or older (laughs).
The most impressive work in the entertainment content published / released in the year ■ 2:2011 question
"Monster Hunter 3rd" is.
2011 is the most busy life, I did not get time, could play outside Skyrim was decent enough MH3rd. While as a game has a sense of stability, even through volume series, also multiplayer, also produces work and above all, everything "offensive" but the bottom line in that posture, became very exciting.
I could play slow season, there also were playing in endless commute after all, the total time I play it forever and it (is that every time).
Aspirations for the year in question 4:2012 ■, the message of the game for the fan
For me 2011 is incorporated in the storm hitting really like and was in the washing machine, dizzying, and I had worked years to forget erosion.
Like going to sea in a storm and move on such a dark, everyone cheering us on to play 下Saru FFXIV, like the lights of the lighthouse, has led me to think here.
2012 is the stage in FFXIV Eoruzea I do not "evil spirits seventh" is 降Rikakarimasu.
The many people who this unprecedented adventure, and is happy to play waiting before the "Final Fantasy XIV emerging" toward, and would continue to move forward full speed!
We want you so many customers enjoy the future, your continued encouragement, thank you!

I LOVE MONSTER HUNTER. I just came in here to say that.
"Unbelievable wipes... indescribable failings. Whining, bitching, rage quitting - through an endless party find." - Doho, A Whole New Whorl
I would rather Yoshi took more from MH3 than from Skyrim.
MH has a fantastic stat/ability bonus system for gear that would be awesome in an MMO. Basically all weapons and armor carry both bonuses and penalties. But those numbers are meaningless until the total adjustments are >/= [+10] or </= [-10].
Eg. If your total Potential stat was +10 (or more), you would gain "Adrenaline +1" -- a significant stamina bonus. Likewise, if your Potential was -10, you would suffer "Adrenaline -1" which is a serious reduction in stamina. A stat total between -9 and +9 gives no bonus or penalty at all.
This approach made stats very important in the game, as their impact both positive and negative was very significant and could mean the difference between winning and losing a fight.
Unfortunately, stats in FFXIV don't really have a noticeable impact. By bundling stat or trait bonuses into sets of 10 and introducing stat and trait penalties, players would end up paying very close attention to their gear and materia selection.
