Why exactly do need feminine men?

It's not a need, it's a want and really the reason simply is options. Hopefully if they ever get added Viera males fill the niche just like I hope if Hrothgals get added they are as muscular as their male counterparts and not just fuzzy femroes.

There's some lesser used faces for elezen, au'ra, midlanders and miquo'te that are more youthful/soft if you're looking for something to tide you over. The male models get way more variation in face shapes compared to the female models.

Agreed! I love my fem Roe, but if there's the option to swap to a burly female Hrothgar I'm going for it! Ladies need more options for body types.

If Hrothgar had been an option when I first made my character I would have gone for it as I'm a sucker for beast races.

The only male race that can cute and feminine is Lalafell. Seriously, I fail to see where male Miqo'te is cute.

Bara, on the other hand, you already have 2 options. And is gaining one more (with bara cat boi Whrothgar). Maybe the dev team is into muscular men?

Ordinarily I'd say 'same' but the initial reveal was baaaad, they just looked like a lion head stuck awkwardly on a Roe's body. They've cleaned that up A LOT though and now I'm looking forward to making my burly cat man on Friday XD

For the same reason we need bunny girls or one more option of muscular men or even cat girls. That's because that add variety to the scenario and there are players who likes that concept.

Anyone whos ever read churros posts knows they simply point and laugh at humanity as whole. frankly I think alot of people should follow that example and stop taking every single thing as an affront to be personally offended by or offended on behalf of someone. As for what you do at the end of every duty good show I kinda wish my SO played so they could do that with me.

People fear feminine men and masculine women (bonus points if they're tall). We're lucky we have the latter at all.

It's not fear. They're just not the popular aesthetics they're made out to be when it comes to mainstream audiences and are vastly overrated by a very vocal portion of players who often have projected issues with conventional standards of beauty. Often because they're very obsessed with making a character look as close to themselves as possible or they're doing it because of niche preferences.

When it comes to feminine men there's the added baggage of some very creepy individuals having revealed themselves to the community at large by pushing for child-like models or making bizarre, weird statements about Alphinaud.

After all, Yoshi-P had to make a statement recently explicitly stating that child-like viera would never be a thing for moral and ethical reasons. In addition to that, I believe a major FFXIV Discord lost official recognition due to inappropriate art being posted there.

So, no - it isn't as clear cut as 'fear'. A lot of us are just well aware of what is really being pushed for in many cases after reading between the lines/seeing horrific comments in various threads and in-game chat channels.

That isn't applicable to every case. Some people are fairly innocent when making their requests for such things. Though Yoshi-P has thankfully ruled it out altogether to prevent problems later down the line.
