Though, it doesn't mention it in the tooltip for actually getting Beast Gauge from the traits either.

You'd think that if it had any stats on it, you'd see it somewhere in the Traits section around level 35 when you actually get the darn thing.

New Gauge is pretty lame. It's all about spam FC on CD to get Infuriate up now. Even things like Upheaval need to be actually considered to make sure they're worth delaying a FC because Infuriate.

Like, at this point, we seem to be trying to focus Gauge down to literally one skill. At which point you really have to ask... What's the point in even having a Gauge to begin with? Especially when Infuriate happens to give enough Gauge to use the Inner Chaos it allows the use of... May as well just make Infuriate Inner Chaos/Chaotic Cyclone instead of a gauge generator and slap a shared like 15s CD on FC/Devastate and delete gauge. You'd still have the same gameplay...

    Honestly...

I'd love to see Beast Gauge become a dual gauge system. Where we build Defiance for defensive skills and build Deliverance for offensive skills. While having hybrid skills that consume both resources *Cough*Inner Beast*Cough*Steel Cyclone*Cough* but are limited by CD (So people won't just spam away all their Defiance on hybrid skills).

Maybe with some skills having additional effects when at higher gauge counts. Such as an Inner Chaos (Renamed into the 1.0 skill Godsbane) that can consume more than 50 gauge to empower it based on how much extra it uses. So you have additional thought about pooling resources for certain skills and gameplay is more about smacking something once really god damn hard as opposed to rolling your face over your keyboard and DCH Fell Cleaves for 10s...

Unless you build both of them at the same time, wouldn't it face the same issue as "Inner Beast vs Fell Cleave" where no one would want to "waste" GCDs not building offensive skills ?

The thing that bugs me is that Infuriate basically lost its initial purpose. Before, it was used to refill your Gauge, if you want to use an additionnal GCD during a window, or you needed your gap closer right away, or, who knows, if you needed the added benefit. Now, you will only use it for Inner Chaos or Chaotic Cyclone. Technically, you can remove the gauge refill and the cost on both those skills, it would be the same in real fights.

Y: I usually compare FFXIV with a theme park, but the Forbidden Land of Eureka won’t be a place where everyone would want to go. For example, there are people who don’t want to go to horror houses because they don’t see the point in getting scared on purpose. For example, on a date, the boyfriend might want to invite the girlfriend to go the horror house, but the girlfriend just doesn’t seem to find it fun. In other words, it’s not like everyone wants to go to the horror house, but there are people who just love the adrenalin rush they get from it. Think of Eureka as something like that.
