What helps here is that Matsuno has taken an interest in the project to some degree. While he may not be on the payroll - or he may be, I'm unsure, does anyone know if he's officially on payroll for Shadow Bringers? But anyway, quality control and quality assurance can honestly be overseen by him as the original creator. This only works for mViera however.

I believe that since they dropped 32 bits, it should also be easier because of that, hence why they are planning (going from the datamine, not official) on doing the missing genders, and apparently, another full race

I'm curious, how was that brought about again. Was it the mount size? Part of me thinks if it's just down to the mount it would be more regarding the twins + mini minfilia riding a mount.

Matsuno is the CEO of Algebra Factory a production and screenplay company, he was hired to produce the return to ivalice and it's unlikely he still has any contract with square as of right now, however as you've said he seems to be taking his own time to muse about the Male Viera get art of them out etc etc. So perhaps it could be a PR thing he's still on retainer to do or it's just his own free time, either way he seems to have some sort of interest.
It is my personal opinion, that he might just be responding to the fans general interest in Male Viera not associated with XIV and more just lore dropping and the like for the sake of catching some of the upwind.
That being said it is also likely he could still be on retainer in some form of writing capacity as both the end to return to ivalice was finished on a cliff hanger and Balthier was hinted to have been involved outside of just his gear cameo, despite there being no visual indicator of his presence.
It seems mostly inconclusive how closely he still is or will be involved with the game.

I think it would be ok to post lore learned from the Viera village as long as it isn't a major story spoiler. Things learned from fates and talking to npcs should be ok, but things directly related to the main quest should be saved until after the official launch date at least.

Very much so, I don't want anyone being spoiled. Thankfully we have hide boxes, but I'd rather not risk someone being spoiled of content. So, if there is an information dump I'd certainly hope anyone who does it is wise enough to use hideboxes and spoiler tags.

Yes, or hide it under spoiler tags. It'll be great to see how they approach male Viera in Shadowbringers, I get a feeling they'll mention them along the lines of

"If you didn't see male Viera by the time you got here then you'll never see them, they're like the shadows until they need to mate."
"Male Viera? I forget what they even look like sometimes...we value them so much but all we know about them is their whispers which we use to communicate with them when the Green word compels us to."

It'll be very dismissive at the start of Shadowbringers, because of marketing practices and the fact that Yoshida loves surprises, he revels in proving people wrong. So yeah, at first it'll be like that then by 5.3 we'll start to see MSQ reasons as to why male Viera start to communicate with the female Viera.

I don't mind if they use the same dismissive language they used for Ivalice Raid, I just really want to know what they say about them because anything they say gives us more lore about them which is fun to know about. It'll be interesting to be surprised though, one of the female Viera might go "one of the male Viera left me a message etched on a tree recently, but it's a secret."
